The Curved Hem

The curved hem allows the distribution of the force in the cord evenly along all four sides of the bed.

The curve also allows the cord to get around the corners without making an abrupt turn, which would create a ton of friction in the corners.

The Gather Panel allows for the corner to be loose with plenty of extra fabric to gather providing the adjustment of the corner area as needed to accommodate a wide range of mattress thicknesses. This feature allows the gathered fabric to remain loose and not bind the cord and along with the curved hem, provides that the cord can be drawn up and tightened from one point.

Innovative Hands-Free Cord Lock

Tightening the Comfy-Snug sheet is aided by the hands-free cord lock. Pulling the string ends apart, as seen in the video, is how the slack is taken up in the cord. Releasing the cord after tightening, automatically drags the locking wedge in, which grabs both cords in a vise like clamping action.

The is a big breakthrough for the easy tightening of this sheet. There is no need to tie the cord like with a pair of sweats. Other types of cord locks were tested but could not generate the friction force needed to hold the Comfy-Snug sheet tight enough. This wedge-lock design is positively locked by the force pulling the sheet tight and gets tighter with more tension. Other locks with springs etc, failed to hold.

Cord Lock is well tested, functional and the mold is ready for another production run.
