What We Need & What You Get
Break it down for folks in more detail:
- We need a few basic things to make this show happen and then after that everything else will be icing on the cake.
-
1) we need to pay for the rights in order to actually do the show.
-
2) We need to pay for lights and pay for a set design that is aligned with each director's vision.
-
3) We need enough money for posters and programs
-
4) We need to pay for comfortable seating and risers
- Our perks are personal lessons, and services using our unique gifts, and abilities. Kimberly, a certified yoga instructor is offering yoga lessons, guided meditations, energy healing, singing lessons and pottery lessons. Michael, a certified chess instructor, is offering lessons in chess and tennis. All of these perks are intended to empower, teach, heal, and enrich the lives of our donors. We are also offering fun options such scavenger hunts in Kirkwood and healthy kombucha beverages.
- Anyone who buys a ticket will also get a discounted $5 yoga class at Indigo Yoga Studio.
- We are very passionate about this play and committed to making it happen so if we don't reach our entire goal, we will prioritize expenses based on the list above as ordered and put on the best show we can with whatever money have.
The Impact
We hope our show will impact the lives of audience members in a profound way that will stimulate conversations and new ideas. We hope our performance will inspire creative artists in Atlanta to produce more art that touches lives in a unique and positive way.
Risks & Challenges
The non-linear writing is a fabulous challenge. We are taking risks by working with over 12 collaborating directors to create one cohesive theme. Given that the show is a two hander, it is a personal challenge for us as actors to bring so many different perspectives to life within one play. The play delves into sensitive topics like brain cancer, Glioblastoma multiforme, assisted suicide and controversial theories like the "Multiverse" theory.
Other Ways You Can Help
