Overview
Help us bring COPING, an ink-black comedy about surviving loss, to the 2016 Capital Fringe Festival!

"This is definitely not proper grieving behavior."

In the aftermath of 25-year-old Connor’s suicide, his girlfriend, sister, and roommate try desperately to make things right, place blame, and confront their own battles with mental illness. Wickedly funny and shockingly tender, Coping explores and explodes our experience of grief, mental illness, and family.

CAST

Rebecca Ballinger (Sarah), Madelyn Farris (Stage Manager), Michelle Hill (Janie), Melissa Hmelnicky (Jessica), Maggie Robertson (Taylor), and Daniel Rovin (Lucas).

CREATIVE TEAM

Jacob Marx Rice (Playwright), Joshua W. Kelley (Director), Green Spark Productions (Producer), Patrick Landes (PSM), Audrey Bodek (Scenic Design), Jordana Abrenica (Sound Design), and Daniel Mori (Lights and Costume Design), Sarah Weitzman (Graphic Design).

We've put together an incredible team to work on this project and are so excited about bringing this play to DC audiences, but...

We need your help!

Every penny donated will go towards this production. Our costs includes Fringe fees, cast and creative team expenses, insurance, costumes, set, lights, and marketing. All essential elements to make this production a success.

Here's a breakdown of our budget:

By donating, you'll become a part of this exciting process. You will also receive the perks outlined to the right and our deepest thanks and gratitude.

All donations are tax-deductible for the full amount except for the perks with other amounts noted.

Risks & Challenges

Producing fringe theatre is challenging and about being scrappy with the resources we have. We have created a very cost-effective production, but there are some costs we simply can't avoid. We think this play is important enough to lose all of our money over, but we would love to break even with your help.

Other Ways You Can Help

We recognize that not everyone is in a position to donate. You can also help us out by spreading the word! Please share our Indiegogo with your friends and like our Facebook page. Most importantly, please support us by coming to see Coping, July 8th-23rd at the Mead Theatre Lab - Flashpoint in DC.
