Counting to 1000 is a crime thriller short film examining the idea that good and evil is not always black and white. Detective Callow examines this gray area while investigating a gruesome, botched home robbery attempted by Donny, a low level criminal, and his merciless crew. During an interrogation, Donny and Detective Callow piece together what went wrong with what should have been an easy job, and discover that the intentions of those involved are not at all as they appear.

Counting to 1000 is a Missouri State University Electronic Arts senior thesis film. Over the past six months, we have been immersed in pre-production and are excited to start principal photography this fall.
Our crew is comprised of extremely gifted and dedicated individuals that have worked together on several projects over the course of our time at Missouri State University. We are dedicating the entirety of our year to ensure that Counting to 1000 is not only a school project, but a visually stunning film that delivers an impactful story. We could not be more thrilled to bring all of our skills together to create this movie and take it beyond Missouri State to festivals across the nation.

MEET THE REST OF OUR CREW
PRE-PRODUCTION
For pre-production we took some of our crew out to test shoot the new FS7, try out our blank prop gun, and see how to shoot someone shooting. It was a fun day of pre-production and a great excuse to gun test in the name of film.
