Our Manifesto & The Magazine
...life should be lived slowly and wholeheartedly.
...embracing the seasons and nature brings great joy.
... sharing stories and traditions is a wonderful way to connect with others.
...cherishing everyday adventures allows for a simpler, more meaningful life.
Creative Countryside magazine is for those who strive to live more slowly, who are inspired by the first apple ready to be picked and who walk outside in the rain. It is for lovers of stories, everyday adventures and local traditions. It is curated for those who opt for simplicity, appreciate ancient crafts, and celebrate the seasons.
The ad-free magazine will sit happily on your bookshelf for many years to come. Support independent publishing and print by pre-ordering a copy today.

What We Need & What You Get
The crowdfunding campaign raised £2,786 and funded 136% of the project costs - thank you so much! Our initial target was £2,050, which covered the publishing costs for issue 1. The extra 36% has allowed us to also cover website and admin fees, and put a bit aside for the printing of issue 2. In order to be able to cover all printing costs for issue 2, and to pay our contributors, we need to raise closer to £5,000, which is why we've moved to InDemand funding.
You can now choose to pre-order a copy of issue 1, or if you'd just like to donate that's possible too.
NB: the winners of the competitions we ran during the campaign will be announced shortly.
Editor's Backstory
![]()
I (Eleanor) left my job as an English teacher with the aim of focusing on creative writing projects for a year. Then I had a baby. And started a Masters course. And things got busier than they have ever been. But here we are, 12 months after leaving behind security and full-time employment, and my passion project is on the cusp of becoming a real publication.
The best part of working on the magazine has been the ability to create a community of like-minded souls who have joined together to share ideas, words, stories and images in the creation of a new creative mould. I’d love it if you joined us.
Risk
The magazine content has been finalised, and the design is almost complete. Regardless of how much is raised, it will go to print and you will receive your copy (plus rewards) no matter what the outcome. There is no risk!
Other Ways You Can Help
As a small business, we'd love to increase our reach and awareness of the magazine. Please share the campaign with your followers and friends if you can!
