Crying Liberty follows Lady Liberty on her journey through multiple worlds that reflect our society today. We watch helplessly as she tries to rediscover who she is and what she was created for. At the end she fights off what is holding her back and shines in her rightful glory while restoring Liberty, Justice and Freedom for All People.

ABOUT QUEEN CATAMAR

QUEEN CATAMAR is a production company founded by Marisha Legan-Johnson and Cat Tanchanco specializing in creating music, music videos, film, photography, and creative events. We are here to bring artists together of all walks of life to give an opportunity to create and collaborate on topics that are being discussed in the mainstream media. In 2015, we launched our first music video Doctor or Monster, which currently has over 6.7K views. Doctor or Monster takes a deeper look at millennial relationships. It shines the light on who the real monster is in a relationship as we follow a doctor that tries and "fix" these beautiful beings in a cinematic dark halloween themed film. In 2016, Audfaced aka Cat Tanchanco was invited by IPSY to do a Halloween "black magic" makeup tutorial called "Unapologetic" (5.7 k views) that emphasized self-confidence, using your voice and empowerment in women. In 2017, we will be releasing our second music video, Crying Liberty which follows lady liberty and her journey to restore Freedom for All People by standing up for herself.

BOSS LADY: 

MARISHA LEGAN-JOHNSON - Director, Producer

Journeyed to Los Angeles from Fort Worth, Texas to pursue her dream of performing. The stage and the bright lights always called to her as she was growing up. In 2014, she graduated with her Bachelors degree from AMDA, a performing arts college in Hollywood, and set out on the road of discovering who she is and what she wants to accomplish. Through many ups, downs, failures and success she landed on solid ground when creating her first QUEEN CATAMAR project, DOCTOR OR MONSTER, as a director, producer, alongside Cat Tanchanco and has been chasing that dream every since. You can find her keeping the dream alive as she performs in educational theater, cabarets and wrangling kiddos on her "off" days.

BOSS BABE:

CAT TANCHANCO - Makeup Artist, Art Director, Co-Producer

dares to let her mind dwell in the imaginary, the disturbing & beautiful realms of life. Art is the language of what we truly desire, of what we suppress and what we fear. What a place to explore. She prefers to delve into these mysteries armed with a Vanilla Chai Latte. She is a story-teller channeling through different mediums: makeup artistry, film, performance, writing, illustration & photography. Cat launched AUDFACED in 2009 on YouTube where she creates SFX and beauty makeup tutorials that celebrate the odd, promote self-love and self-expression. In 2012 she was recognized by Tim Burton and MTV for her Corpse Bride body paint makeup. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from CalArts in 2014. In 2017 she created QUEEN CATAMAR alongside Marisha Legan-Johnson, a production company specializing in creating music, films, photography, music videos & art events, premiering project CRYING LIBERTY. She actively freelances makeup & photography jobs in Los Angeles. She has worked on The Scream Team for Magic Mountain's annual Fright Fest and as a Makeup Advisor for SEPHORA.

WHAT WE WANT THIS PROJECT TO DO 

Crying Liberty, is a therapeutic way to share how we are feeling through this current political climate and inspire others to do the same in a positive way. We want to unite like minded people of different backgrounds, occupations, gender and religion to get the conversation started on how to work together to make a positive change happen. We know things don't magically happen over night but if we don't stand together we will all fall alone. At Queen CataMar we know as artist it is our job to hold the mirror to society and be a a reflection of what is happening in our culture and find ways to make a difference in a positive way.
