Why cue?
If you are in the event planning community (DJs, Wedding Planners, Photographers, Venues, etc) you are likely as frustrated as I am with the current crop of tools out there to plan your events. To add to the frustration you are likely using one, two, three, or even more tools to help manage all the aspects of your events, to your financials, your communications. And I understand this because I am a Wedding DJ with a propensity to make things better.
And there is a better way to do this.
cue is the next-generation web-based platform of tools for the event industry, built by someone in the event industry, to help manage not only events but to help manage your business simply and effectively.
Why Now?
You may ask why would one start a campaign, now, with everything going on. I would make the argument that now is the best time for a project like this to become available. For event professionals that have the time as we wait for things to open back up to take on a new project like adopting a new platform.
Phase 1: cue Essentials
This platform is a huge undertaking and reimagining of how to do things right from the start. With that, cue is being developed as two core offerings, Essentials and Premium. This campaign is to get Essentials fully funded and made available to the public.
The name Essentials is a bit deceiving because it’s really a very feature-rich application from the start. From being able to visually see where you are with your clients and events to being able to get contracts signed, Essentials can help to transform your business. Some of these great tools include:
- Business Discovery. You no longer need to constantly research and add businesses to the system.
- Step Progress. Visually see where you are in every event at a glance.
- Adding Leads. Quickly add leads without all the headaches.
- Contracts & Invoices. Manage it all under one simplified experience
Phase 2: cue Premium
Incorporating things like automation, payments, a unified timeline, business health dashboard, social media tools, and other key features; cue Premium is going to take things beyond what you'd expect.
Where Things Are
I have invested $30K personally to get the essentials version of cue to 80% completion. A walkthrough demo is available here and you can jump to the bottom to see screenshots of what is completed thus far.
The final 20% requires $18K to get ownership of the code and complete that phase of development
I have investors that are waiting for Essentials to launch that have pledged to fund once they see a working program with subscriber growth.
Although I have already sold a number of lifetime memberships to support funding (thank you!!), it’s going to take more to get this important domino knocked over and keep things moving.
Contributing To The Campaign
So I am here to ask if people are interested in helping out. If I can get even enough small pledges, I can get essentials out the door. It's funny what a little money at scale can do to change an industry. You may not be part of the event industry and that is OK. That is why I am offering the Goodwill option for those that want to help push this along.
For the event professionals, I am offering now three levels of subscriptions to cue Premium when released. A 3-month offering at $50, a 9-month offering at $100, a 24-month offering at $200, and I am continuing with my lifetime membership at $450 which is a tremendous bargain.
If you can't contribute I'd sure appreciate you sharing this on any of your social media pages. Getting people in front of this is one of the most important aspects to raising funds.
