My Story
Born Miguel Curtis McDonald... Curtis Lee, named after his late uncle Curtis Lee McDonald was born in Peoria, Illinois where he grew up listening and singing to his parents' 8tracks and 45s ranging from great artists such as Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire, The Isley Brother and The Jackson 5.
Currently, Curtis Lee resides in the music capital of the world, Austin, Texas, where he started his professional career performing live throughout the city's music scene, branching out from coast to coast, and is now working on his first studio release.
What We Need & What You Get
The record has been recorded in it's entirety, sparing no expense, and is nearly complete. Now, the final hurdles to a proper release have come into focus.

Challenges
This record is an immense collaboration from a number of talented artists, performers and writers. It is a terrifying prospect - to imagine putting your heart and soul into a single record, and then jumping headfirst into the unknown, especially as a solo artists. It's the constant, positive feedback...all the love and appreciation Curtis receives from the people he touches with his music... that keeps him certain.
It sustains him. So much so that the work doesn't feel like work. Our crew has met every challenge with smiles, though sometimes tired ones, and we'll continue to. We have the expertise. We just need the means to apply it all.
