What’s in a name? Why the Dar Project? “Dar” means “to give” in Spanish, and at its core, that is exactly what this project is about – giving.
Our Mission
The DAR Project partners with consignment sales around the country to collect children’s and woman’s maternity items for distribution to low income communities both domestically and abroad. Additionally, with the donations, DAR helps teach the communities in countries abroad “to fish” by empowering locals to start their own small consignment sales as a way to provide income for their families and their communities.
The Impact
The amount of need in the world is overwhelming, but we are not without hope, and that is why we created the DAR Project.
Our first trip is to the mountainous terrain of Honduras and Costa Rica to give to and work with one of these communities. Please consider donating to the cause. All proceeds go towards the shipment and distribution of donations. Together WE can make an impact. Together WE can have a lasting effect. Please consider donating to Dar, our movement “to give,” today.
What we need
As you can imagine we have our work cut out for us. Shipping is NOT cheap and we need your continued support to make what we do possible; that is to give out some of the most important human needs for a child - clothing and toys. We are trying to raise $7,000 to fund our first trip to Central America and give HOPE to these children and women. Please consider helping us make our mission possible by contributing a small monetary donation.
