Originally from France, I am an international choreographer currently residing in Los Angeles. I’ve dreamt of bringing my ideas and visions to life while inspiring others to do so by collaborating and spotlighting amazing dancers. I discovered dancehall 20 years ago in France. Since then I’ve taken on this mission to bring this amazing dance and culture to the forefront by teaching and travelling professionally all over the world. I’ve trained and studied the history of dancehall and its core with all my heart, love, and respect for over two decades. Today, I can say that I am the woman I am largely because of this expression!
- MY GOAL
One of my great dreams for this Jamaican originated art form is to give it an opportunity to be displayed on a live stage with some of the best dancers and actors of its kind. I want to showcase this passionate dance in all its glory in a way that any other well-respected dance should be shown. The Show will be held at Movement Lifestyle in North Hollywood, on June 18, 2016.
The Impact
1- PLATFORM OF EXPRESSION
I want to give dancehall a strong platform to show its power and potential to the world. Showcasing an amazing dance expression and spolightning great talents.
2- DIVERSITY
Born and raised in France, I am strong in my identity as a European dancer and choreographer having been emersed in a multi-cultural environment. I want to apply this by bringing together dancers from different countries onto one stage to find the delicate balance between the foundation of this dance and its artistic potential. I want to help create the path for dancehall to find its place from the street to the stage. The show will be filmed and also live streamed in multiple countries.
3- A SHOW FOR UNITY
This show will bring worldwide personalities of this dance form on one stage to remind all of us the power of unity! Different minds, energies, and flavors from all around the world connecting around the same love for dance. This organic African descent expression is a powerful dance rooted in meaning and passion. This show will bring attention to the dance industry and all lovers of dance a huge understanding and appreciation for this often misunderstood art form.
4- GIVING BACK
I want to give back to Jamaica and its incredibly rich culture by crediting a full-length showcase of Dancehall with some of the best of this genre.
A week before the show, on June 11th, the international dancers of the show will teach a one-day workshop and lecture about Dancehall and its Culture. All the proceeds from this workshop will be sent to children in need in Jamaica.

What We Need & What You Get
- WHAT WE NEED
- My funding goal is $27,500 to cover all costs of the show including rental space for 2 weeks of rehearsals, full day rental of the venue to hold 2 showings, production (including lighting, equipment, crew, security, staff, designer, producer, assistant, make up artist, hair stylist), filming and editing, live-streaming, etc.
- Dancers from all over the world will come to North Hollywood for 2 weeks of intense training and rehearsals to create this platform to represent what we believe and live for. Their hard work and commitment will all be to prepare for this one night. Their passion will show the world the power of this art form, the power of making children's lives better, and the power of unity. These dancers will be coming at their own expense, however with your precious help, we can reach beyond this goal and assist them with their expenses.
