Who is DARK SARAH?

Dark Sarah is a cinematic metal band from Finland  led by Heidi Parviainen a classically trained singer/ songwriter/lyricist. Dark Sarah´s music combines elements of metal music, film music and music theater.

NOW Dark Sarah joins forces with JP Leppäluoto and the story of Dark Sarah and The Dragon gets the highly anticipated continuation not only with a new music video but with a whole album.

DARK SARAH TRILOGY

The concept of Dark Sarah is built around a story that tells about a young woman called Sarah and her fight against her evil side persona Dark Sarah. The albums tell a story about her journey through three worlds  -   The Middle World,   the world of living ("Behind The Black Veil" album) and The Under World, where the dead dwell ("The Puzzle" album) and The Upper World, where spirits and gods reside (YET UNNAMED BECOMING ALBUM).

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?

We are an independent band working without a labels financial support. With the support of our fans here on IGG we have successfully crowdfunded both of our albums and it has been the only possibility for us to come this far on our own. We want to continue working straight with our fans.

Why we think music videos are important for us?

Dark Sarah´s music is cinematic metal and we think the best way to get our musical message through is to add film to music. That is why we have already shot 7 music videos for only two albums. Also we think that for an Indie band music videos are a very important part of marketing and getting your music heard.

The new music video begins the third part of Dark Sarah trilogy and a new album.  So far we have funded most of our music videos our selves but for this one we would need a bigger budget, to make it extra special!

THE BIG PLAN:

Crowdfunding for the album itself will start in autumn 2017. Then we will also release the music video.

New album is planned for spring/summer 2018.

STRETCH GOAL:

If we manage to double our funding goal for the video (4000€ +) we will shoot another music video! All the extra money will be used for the production of the becoming album.
