David Parry

Dave Parry has over 35+ years of "hands-on" diversified experience with mechanical design, computers and integration with industrial controls, automation and sensing technology. Dave with with his 3D parametric mechanical design, linear and rotary motion control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, PLC’s, remote and local process control, RS-485 and similar data communications, proximity/ultrasonic sensor technology, thermography made dbell™ HD live a great innovative product.

Andrew McGee

Bachelor in Economics, Andrew has been the inspiration for dbell™ from its early days of 2014. Has spent months helping design the best user experience for non-technical end user. Perfected easy to understand user manuals. Andrew coming from green energy, medical and manufacturing sales explains, "over the course of the years I have listened closely to what our clients have said and what industry leaders have conveyed.  As a team, we have been able to incorporate many of these ideas into our latest models"

Steve Palmer

Steve is a graduate of Ryerson University’s bachelor of commerce program, after which he proceeded directly in the audio visual world.  He first worked in sales for a commercial audio visual integration firm, learning what clients are looking for in today’s always-connected, high definition world.  8 years later Steve is positively enthusiastic about the potential of the dbell™ product and brings a wealth of knowledge to the company from an installer’s perspective, making sure it is as easy to install as it is easy to use.

Naz Kawsar

Naz graduated from Polytechnic, studied computer programming in Kuwait University, and attended Sheridan College, Ontario, Canada. Naz started his Audio visual automation design in 2001 by designing Brock University’s theaters. In 2004 Naz became a Crestron® certified programmer. In 2009 when working on a $8 mil smart home implementing an expensive $1850.00 video doorbell to work with a $10k phone system– the first thought came in mind was – “how to make a video doorbell affordable for everyone?” Running a small business and cherishing a new idea - it took little longer to bring the ‘dbell™ HD live’ ideas into life.

Creating dbell™ HD Live has been a labor of love. A. No. We believe in freedom – there is no monthly fees to record, view or monitor dbell™ HD live camera footage.

Q. Can I install dbell™ HD live in an angle?
A. Yes, dbell™ HD live comes with 30º wedge for easy custom install. You can flip the wedge to make it a left 30º angle wedge or right 30º  angle wedge.

Q. How do you view from PC?
A. Just download the dbell™ HD live PC client from dbell™ support website. It’s a small PC program. Installation instructions are included with the download. You will be up and running in a minute. You can view dbell™ HD live streaming using all major browsers, Internet Explorer®, Firefox® and Chrome®. We have the future plan to add Safari® on the list.

Q. Can I record live streaming to PC, NAS drive or NVR 24/7?
A. Yes, you can record live streaming to the PC, NAS drive or NVR on the Network 24/7. You can also record to cloud.

Q. How can I schedule recording?
A. In the PC program you can schedule recording 24/7/365 or for a specific period. For example, you can schedule everything to be recorded when you are away.

Q. Is it possible to integrate dbell HD with other security camera?
A. Damn right you are... you should be in our team! dbell HD Live easily integrates and works with IP-based ONVIF® compatible security products.

Q. Can I use multiple dbell HD around my house?
A. Yes, you can add as many dbell HD live as you want around your property. dbell HD live has rotating easy-mount which allows you to use dbell HD as a regular security camera.

Q. Do you ship worldwide?
A. Yes we do ship to many countries worldwide. If for any reason we are unable to ship to a specific country due to any reason beyond our control, we will provide you 100% refund.

Q. What are the shipping costs?
A. Shipping costs change depending on the chosen perk and your location. Select your country in the checkout process and the shipping costs will be shown instantly.

Q. What kind of material is the dbell™ HD made of?
A. Super strong ABS plastic, Metal, Glass and other composite materials with special coating used in high quality electronics and aircraft manufacturing to protect the PCB.

Q. Does dbell™ HD provides multiple stream?
A. Yes, dbell™ HD live provides multiple video stream. You can have one stream being recorded and other stream being viewed or same stream being viewed or recorded simultaneously.

Q. Can I use dbell™ HD live without existing doorbell power ?
A. Yes, dbell™ HD live works with your existing doorbell power and AC adapter. dbell™ HD comes with worldwide power adapter 120VAC-240VAC,50/60Hz.

Q. For added security I don’t use Wi-Fi outside the door. Can I use dbell HD live without Wi-Fi?
A. Yes, dbell™ HD live has built-in Ethernet port. You can connect CAT5e/CAT6 cable at the back of the dbell™ HD live.

Q. I do not have existing doorbell. How can I install dbell™?
A. Not to worry, dbell™ HD live works with both AC and DC power. It comes with power adapter also. You can use this adapter to supply power incase you don’t have existing doorbell. You can extend the power using 16AWG 2 conductor cable.

Q. How Motion Sensor Works?
A. When motion is detected, i) it sends instant alert to the associated smartphone/tablet,  ii) takes a picture and email the snapshot to you iii) uploads 30 second video clip to the cloud if it was setup. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the sensor.

Q. How much warranty dbell™ provide?
A. All dbell™ products come with one year limited warranty.

Return Policy

30-Day Pre-Order Cancellation Window

You have 30 days from date of purchase to cancel and refund your pre-order. Email orders@dbell.ca to cancel with proof of purchase. IGG fee and Stripe payment processing fee is non-refundable. After that point no refunds will be given and the product will fall under the standard product return policy below.

Product Returns After Shipment

We can only offer exchange or store credit for returned products. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back without RMA.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@dbell.ca

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
