The Film
Decant is a drama about a man trying to renegotiate a loss after a picture on his nightstand is destroyed by a ceiling leak. In an attempt to reconnect to the woman from the picture in another way, he goes to her apartment where he meets somebody else who ends up liberating him from his attachment to the picture.
The film captures the struggle that characters have with their conscience and the small acts by which they betray others and themselves, for it is a film about people. People with obsessions, expectations, resentments, and fears. However, despite all these clashing feelings, they are really just longing for connection. A longing that brings the two main characters, both, closer together and further apart.
