You would never know that this SCUBA diver has quadriplegia. T-Rec helps her do what she loves.
Therapeutic Recreation (T-Rec) Programs help patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, like paraplegia and quadriplegia, rediscover and return to the activities they love despite their disabilities. Catastrophic injuries devastate lives. A life-changing automobile accident, fall or sports injury can leave survivors feeling hopeless - unsure if they can return to their passions. Our T-Rec program give survivors the tools to cycle, play sled hockey, shoot archery, ice climb, fly a plane, cast a fishing reel, play wheelchair rugby or ski after a catastrophic injury. T-Rec empowers people to Do What They Love and thrive again. Unfortunately, this life-enhancing program is not covered by insurance. Help us raise $10,000 to fund 960 T-Rec sessions for people in need. Thanks to the generous makers of SpeediCath, every donatio made to this campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Give Today!

We All Need to Do What You Love
While traditional therapies like physical therapy and counseling help spinal cord and brain injury survivors learn the skills needed for self-care and independence, T-Rec enables people with injuries to return to activities that allow them to thrive. Through our program, we pair each spinal cord or brain injury survivor with their own T-Rec Specialist who works with the patient to adapt a sport or leisure-time activity to their skill level and physical ability. Once an activity is learned, our T-Rec Specialists work with patients to find other individuals who are interested in the same activity. T-Rec is so much more than having fun -- T-Rec helps patients find hope and regain confidence, reconnect with family and friends, get back to the community and rediscover recreational activities.
T-Rec math is easy! Together, we can help 960 people!
When you make a donation of at least $22 to the SpeediCath Do What You Love Campaign, you are purchasing a 1-hour T-Rec session for a brain or spinal cord injury survivor. When you lose movement or sensation in your legs, arms, or body due to an injury, you need specialized trainers, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and adaptive equipment (sports wheelchairs, adaptive skis, modified fishing poles, sports equipment) to learn to do what you love in a new and different way. Together, let's help 960 people receive the training and skills to return to what they love.
We've already helped countless patients Do What They Love. With your contribution, we can help even more!
