The aim of the raising of funds is to get our dream back that we so devastatingly lost around 2 weeks ago to a fire that ripped through our house and our business.

Or business supported young people in the community into work and also feeding programs and educational programs for kids we gave a lot to local charity but now everything is gone.
The business was for us to take to the next level in due course and buy or lease our dream resort having spent 20 years in the hotel industry it was always a dream for us to have our very own Eco resort.
We moved from the UK to the Philippines 3 years ago with our now 5 year old son with the dream of owning our dream resort 1 day which is now destroyed and with myself now returned to the UK with my 5 year and having to leave my wife back in the Philippines our whole world has been turned upside down in the matter of a few hours.
We are now challenging ourselves to try and raise as much funds as possible to get our dream back on track with our dream resort and you can be part of it all and support us through these times.
The Resort
We have identified the blue palm resort which we can turn into Eco resort. The resort would consist of natural spring water throughout including the swimming pool we would also like to include solar panels for generating our own electricity for the resort. We can build an entire new resort but it would be better to adapt an already existing resort were most of the ground work is already been done.
Having locally sourced food & beverages to support the local businesses we would also be employing local people and run apprenticeships to help job growth within the community.
The resort to take over should be complete within a 2 month time frame pending on the contracts or any maintenance that has been raised by us.
if we are to lease the property again this should take around the same amount of time it could take a little longer if there is some issues raised.
the resort we have looked at just now have a peak occupancy rate between 65% to 90% off peak rates are around 45% to 60% i know with my knowledge of the business my contacts throughout the world we can really push these percentages up.
The 1 thing that the Philippines has is the all your round weather this has to be used to our advantage and promoting the resort in the right way with either direct bookings or through an OTA like booking.com or Expedia but lets not forget about the social media and how this can promote the resort also in the right ways.

Budget
Having spent most of my life in the hotel industry i am qualified to make good judgments on this resort the lease of the resort would be 1 of long term. Having worked on many hotel budgets in countries like Dubai,Abu dhabi ,turkey,UK Spain,France and Philippines.
We will still be able to take over the resort lease even if we don't make our required target.
I will also be funding the project from my own pocket as expected but most of the pledges will be for the lease of the property and working capital during the coming months.
Environment
With the local environment of the resort and the natural source of fruit and vegetables in abundance we will use and much as we can of these wonderful sources like the coconut , mango ,papaya and many others to our advantage and integrate this into the resort in so many ways to our food menus drinks menu and to the spa.
We will also look at solar powering the resort with so much natural light this will be the best factor for long term sustainability of the resort and making sure that we are using the renewable energy the best way we can.
all water is spring water throughout the resort i have seen how easy this can be done so i am not foreseeing in problems within this department.
Community
We will always support the local community in anyway possible as we have been doing for 3 years now with food programs cleaning programs and children's educational programs.
We will also be running apprenticeships for young people for them to gain experience in a serious work place to develop.
Family
We are a family the resort will be run like a family gaining all my 20 years of hotel & resort experience to make the resort better year on year building a future for our son and a legacy for our family and you can be part of that family by supporting us.
At the moment our family are 6000 miles apart due to the circumstances that unfolded with this project and your support all of as can be reunited again my son can be with his mother and the project can be kick started and put in place.
