Our Story

Our small Rotary club has supported Basa Elementary School in the Philippines for the last six years.  The school needs new classroom furniture.

The Impact

The school is located in a remote area of the Philippines.  The children mostly come from poor families.   The money raised will improve the education for the students.  Good classroom furniture is important for learning.

What We Need & What You Get

Our club needs $500 to purchase the furniture.  Your donation is not tax deductible.  All money raised will be paid to the school to purchase the furniture.  Our club will cover all administration costs for the fundraising.  

If we do not reach our entire fundraising goal, the project will still go ahead.  Every contribution helps!     

What do you get for your support? 

As a $10 contributor, you will receive an acknowledgement on our website,  Facebook page and newsletter that you have made a contribution.  

As a contributor of $50 or more, you will be acknowledged on our website and Facebook page and we will welcome you as our guest to a breakfast meeting in Launceston* at a date of your choice.  

As one of only two contributors of $100 you will be acknowledged through our website and Facebook, receive a guest breakfast at our club meeting in Launceston* at a date of your choice, PLUS a special recipe to cook from the Principal of the Elementary school.  

*note:  travel expenses to/from the meeting are at your own expense.  We will cover the cost of the meal and refreshments at the breakfast.
