Welcome to 'Ensnared'..!
Thank you so much for checking out my campaign for 'Ensnared'- my first feature film...!
My name is Katarina Severen, and I'm a former pro wrestler, actress, writer of scripts and filmmaker of (so far) short films... and I am hoping you will help me create my very first feature! Some of you may have supported my last campaign for the short film 'Dead Man's Hand' that I shot in 2022- if so, thank you so much! It was an amazing experience and I learned many lessons and skills that will help enormously on this next project. Either way, I am so grateful that you are checking out my campaign and any contribution big or small means the world to me!
The film is a contained thriller and written specifically for a very small budget. Fewer locations and actors means we can spend more time and focusing in on the quality of the piece: that goes for both production values in terms of lighting and set design as well as working more intently with the actors on their characters and relationships to each other. It is a genre film, but we are determined to create a piece of art with layers and depth as well as some fresh ideas and perspectives. It is not just a revenge piece - it deals with deeper themes such as abuse of power and systematic corruption - but the main goal is to put together an exciting piece of cinema!
What We Need & What You Get
As mentioned, the budget it purposely kept low. However, the other reason why our goal is so small, is because we have some funding in place already. We have so far one equity investor plus I myself am putting a chunk of my own money into this. That being said, if we reach our initial goal here, the funds will be just about enough to pull this together on a shoe string; that is why we also have stretch goals in place, which will help us pay better wages to our cast and crew, as well as rent some more equipment and would enable us to spend a bit more on post-production, so that we can end up with an even more polished piece.
There are many different perks to choose from, with rewards ranging from digital goodies to physical packages and even credits on the film- right up to executive producer.
By the way, if you would prefer to become an equity investor with a financial stake in the film (rather than opting for the perks), we also still have spots available for that!
