Etcher Laser's Particle Filter add on helps ensure you're safe from potentially harmful particles expelled during engraving from some materials. With the Particle Filter, you're able to use Etcher Laser in any room!

The Etcher Laser requires exhaust ventilation. It comes equipped with a DC fan for exhaust, but odors and smoke are not removed completely. The optional Particle Filter can remove odors and smoke drastically, enabling indoor ventilation.

smartDIYs was originally founded in 2012 by CEO Yoshiya Arii and COO Hirotaka Shiojima. The two shared an interest in bringing new ideas to market, and set out to make their own self-produced laser engraver.
Years of testing, perfecting, and lots of engraving, smartDIYs ran its first crowdfunding campaign. In 2016, their first laser, the Smart Laser mini garnered the highest amount of money ever raised by Japanese crowdfunding.
In 2018, they launched a subsidiary of smartDIYs Inc. in the US, this time with the Etcher Laser being the front runner of their product line.
Years after the original founding, and with several people from around the world joining the smartDIYs team, they forgotten their original aspirations, continuing to strive to provide services and products that can improve people’s lives around the world.
