My name is Emilio Rodriguez and I am the founder of Tres Calaveras Studios, a studio dedicated to creating worlds that people are going to want to be a part of and share with others.  It is also the aim of the studio to introduce some much-needed diversity to comics and comic concepts.  However, it is not enough to have characters or creators that are diverse - one must endeavor to produce quality while promoting diversity.  After all, diversity without quality is merely a book with a minority character. 

I am an attorney and a college professor who has always possessed an ardent love for comics, and have read and written them since my earliest years.  This campaign is important to me because I wish to create a world that people are going to want to be a part of and share with others.  It is also important to me to help show the genre is capable of depth and character development that can stand against any other. 

The risks are few because the book is done for a debut at the NY Comic Con in October 2016.  Therefore, those who pledge are not going to have to wait long for their rewards.  My studio has put out three issues of a series called Sara Rising, also a sci-fi story; therefore we know what goes into completing a book and getting it out to the public.       

The funding needed is $5000.  This money will cover the costs paid to complete the book.  Additional funds will go to publishing costs, Indiegogo fees, and marketing costs. 

Some of the cool perks offered are commissions of ANY character desired by the pledgor (even characters not part of this campaign) by some of the most noted artists in the field: Mike Lilly (Nightwing, Black Terror, Madness of Wonderland), and Paris Cullins (Blue Beetle).
