About me
I am Bismark Fernandes from Goa, India. I have previously received my bachelor's degree in Animation Film Design in India. I worked in the animation industry in Mumbai, India for three years and I am now pursuing my Master's degree in Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Our Process
"Expend" is created using stop motion animation, a style of animation where everything seen on screen is handcrafted. From the puppets to the props and sets, every aspect of the film is tactile and tangible. Making a stop motion film on this scale requires a seemingly endless supply of materials and tools, as well as a skilled team of artists with a wide spectrum of expertise.
We have already completed 60% of the fabrication and with your help and support, I aim to release this project by January 2018. This campaign will allow us to expedite fabrication and start the filming process. Your donation allows us to purchase the much-needed materials and tools to see this project through to completion.
Where is the money going?

Since stop motion is such an elaborate undertaking, we are asking for $6000. The majority of your donations will go towards fabrication and assist us during the animation phase. This money will be utilized to purchase materials, additional tools, equipment and other resources to aid the fabricators. During the animation phase, the funds will be used to build and purchase rigs to help animators film with ease.
On completion of the film, a part of the funding will be used to enter the short film in various local and international film festivals to help share the film on an international platform.

In thanks for your generosity, we are offering reward tiers of digital and printed postcards featuring design and artwork from the film, posters, and high-quality digital downloads of the completed cinematic piece. Higher tier rewards will include props directly from the film, figurines, and an Executive Producer title in the film credits.
