FAST FEED is a social science fiction film examining the polarised society that we are currently living in, and how the bombardment of information via social media is impacting the mental health of our generation.
FAST FEED could be described as the love child of Under the Skin, Black Mirror, DV8 Physical Theatre and The Social Dilemma.
The feature film follows a 30 year old black man trying to find his place amongst the challenges of today’s society. Social media becomes a useful place for him to find answers and build connections, however the hypnotic pull of the online world (the ‘fast feed’) soon takes hold of him, like a digital heroin.
The film moves between two worlds; the real world and the online world of the ‘fast feed’. Theatrical, physical theatre techniques are used to present the all-consuming, hypnotic yet often destructive world of the ‘fast feed’. The viewer is led through a rollercoaster of polarised views, re-enacting different forms of political speech through the body and lens of a black man.
The film provides the viewer with a warning, a chance to reflect on their own relationship with social media in our connected/disconnected world.
Co-directors AdeY & Ira Mandela Siobhan have been planning the film for over a decade. With the increasing division within communities and pressures on our mental health, exacerbated by the digital world, FAST FEED is more urgent and relevant than ever.

As photographer their images have been exhibited all over the world at International Art Fairs, Festivals and magazines, and solo shows in Sweden, Denmark, and most recently at The Finnish Museum of Photography in Helsinki, Finland.

It's your first film... Do you know what you're doing?
It may be our first feature film, but collectively we have an extensive background of over 15 years in creating both live and filmed theatre productions around the world. Furthermore we have already shot a short 14 minute short film on a shoestring budget to show our skills as filmmakers, and to give you the viewer proof that our concept works. If you missed it here's our trailer from the short film. (You will be able to watch the full 14 minute short film if you pledge €6 or above).
I've already seen the Trump clip... so what happens next?
Well you need to watch the full short film to find out, but here's a little sneak peek to give you a taster ⬇️
So now go and watch the short film! ;-)
OK... Where does Indiegogo come in?
Making movies is an expensive business! Especially an ambitious independent film project like ours with plans to shoot both in studio and on location outside. For FAST FEED to work we need to schedule filming in London, UK and a number of locations in Southern Sweden.
€30,000 ($36,000)
This goal is to fund our next development working with a screenwriter, building character development. Jan/Feb 2021
Co-directors studio rehearsal time working on new political characters and test shoots with a camera operator.
€50,000 ($59,000)
If we hit our first stretch goal we could go into pre-production and your money would help finalise costume, props and continue the last test shoots.
€100,000 ($117,000)
With our second stretch goal and securing other funds (arts council funding and private investors), your money would help fund the full length feature film!
And Beyond $$$...
We could make the film we dream of making! Every Euro from backers of the campaign will go directly towards making FAST FEED the most amazing, poignant, and relevant film. An essential watch!!

FAQ's
What happens if you don’t reach your target?
Indiegogo has a flexible goal! If we don’t reach our target we will readjust our budget to meet the final pledge amount. So please, even if you can’t donate, help us by spreading the word on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or what ever platform works for you.
But what about Corona Virus?
We've specifically made FAST FEED in a way to keep cast and crew to a minimum, not only as cost saving measures but also to make sure the film can go head during these difficult and challenging times. We will of course always adhere to the rules and regulations set out in our filming locations.

Risks and challenges
As with anything in life, there is a risk and making films is no different. Our aim is to start working with a screenwriter in February/March 2021, start pre-production in May/June 2021 and continue throughout the Autumn. This is a realistic schedule for us but with the current pandemic in place we understand that unforeseen challenges are ahead and this may affect out schedule. We will of course keep all of our backers up to date throughout the process!
