The Love Monster.
A comedic homage to classic monster movies from the 1950s and '60s, The Love Monster follows Clark, a mad scientist on the quest to discover the meaning of life, as he takes his creation, Wilbur, to get revenge on his newly ex-girlfriend and her lover.
What We Need & What You Get
This film currently has a budget of $0. This means that the people who are working as cast and crew are working for free, many of them taking time off of work for the love of the film. When people volunteer their time on an independent film shoot it's common courtesy to feed them. Unfortunately, however, we do not have the budget for food at this time. We will need to feed up to 20 people per day over a 4 day shoot. The goal is to raise $500 to do so. If we do not need all of the funds for food, we will use the surplus money to pay for submission fees to film festivals. If we happen to exceed our $500 goal, we will use the extra money for lighting equipment, which is also beyond our budget.

The Power of Many
Trying to raise money isn't easy and the more money you're trying to raise, the more difficult it is. I believe we have a modest budget. Despite that, however, it would be foolish of me to believe that one person (or a few people, for that matter) would be willing or able to contribute our entire goal. I believe strongly that when people come together they can acoomplish great things. While it would be great if one person were willing and able to contribute $500, it's much more feasable and likely that 500 people could contribute $1. I have 323 friends on Facebook, if they all contributed, they would only need to give $1.55 each for us to reach our goal. It's unlikely that that'll happen (if for no other reason than I don't believe all of my friends log on to Facebook). The point is: if you want to contribute but don't have $5 or $50 or $500, it's ok: it all adds up and everything counts.
There are some people that just can’t contribute, though, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help: Ask people to get the word out and help us spread the word that we're trying to raise money for a fun short film.
Thank you,
Jarasen D. Peneguy.
