Overview
We are eager to test out our abilities and strengths at the craft of working in the film industry— this is simply an opportunity we cannot pass up! As a group, we aim to tell our own story of how we believe superheroes would exist in our day and time, in the realistic setting of everyday life. Would they attempt to save lives of those in danger? Or would they become celebrities and addicted to social media and instant gratification like most of our fellow humans?

Ever since he was a Child Johnny Ternes has been enthralled by the craft of film. Raised in St. Albert, AB, Ternes has spent a good chunk of his life obsessing over film. Whether it was his remake of the matrix he made in elementary school or multiple projects he has made with friends since. Somewhere down the line, he has received the film making bug. Knowing he wanted more opportunity he had moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and attended the Foundation Visual Art & Design program at Vancouver Film School in which he created the short film “The Dick”. Feeling he could learn even more he decided to attend the Film Production Program which has guided him towards this project.

As a fan of movies from a very young age, Graham Milligan has always been enthralled by the idea of working in the film industry. Coming from a background of multimedia production, he has significant freelancing experience, lending services to large teams and cooperating cohesively with others. He actively seeks to be involved as a key creative force behind as many projects as possible. With writing influences ranging from the authour, Irvine Welsh, to the playwright, Martin McDonagh, Milligan is a massive fan of heightened and flawed characters in a grounded reality.

Hey, I’m Sebastian the Director of Photography of "Finger Bang!". I was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I have always had a love for everything film, I spent probably too many days and nights watching films as a kid, and it had a huge impact on how I wanted to spend the rest of my life.

After traveling across Canada to study as many different aspects of film making as I could, I found a passion for the cinematography side of film, so when the director, and writer Johnny told me the idea he was working on I knew I had to be a part of it. This film explores idea of a delusional superhero film that’s a comedy, and it is exactly the type of project I wanted to be a major part of. With the story being kind of wild and over the top, we want to explore the visual side of comedic storytelling, with inspirations coming from Edgar Wright, Bruno Delbonnel, The Coen Brothers, and even Jean-Pierre Jeunet. We still have a long way to come in preproduction, and we would like you to be a part of the process itself. So please support or share us today, every little bit helps a ton.

Published in 3D magazines, Matthieu Garnier started his career in France as a visual effects artist releasing a short film (“Lo Gran Mazel” on Vimeo), working for 3D companies and advertisement before moving to Canada where he worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer. His passion for film leaded him to Vancouver where he is attending Vancouver Film School in the hope of becoming a successful filmmaker.

Chris was born and raised in the suburbs of Toronto but also spent an equal amount of time living in Prince Edward Island, Edmonton Alberta, Vancouver and Victoria BC. Chris spent the last 4 years as a Real Estate agent which was the catalyst for his jump into the film world. Chris ran and operated a production company in PEI concentrating mostly on architectural  photography and videography but also included marketing videos. Chris spent his evenings volunteering for a local cable access company where he gained important onset experience as a camera operator for sporting events, concerts and talk show based programing. Chris’s true passion is to write and direct his own independent style films as well as music videos.

Origin story in development...

Influenced heavily by the work of Arcangelo Corelli, Hayao Miyazaki, Margaret Bourke-White, Tim Burton and most notably, Joe Hisaishi, Thorbert Galanukan chased after a career in the arts. His background in visual arts and music eventually led him to pursue roles in the art department. His handful of jobs between kitchens, construction, design and journalism has taken him around the world, greatly expanding his imagination and appreciation for languages, history and diverse cultures— all of which drive his creative style and vision.

Unique rewards are available to those who choose to become supporters of this project, with many different tiers of incentives! From wallpapers, to digital photo books, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast and crew on set during production, we hope that you will choose to be part of this project with us!

We are still emerging and learning as young filmmakers, but this is a challenge that we are keen on accepting from beginning to end! We have spent this past half year studying film production at Vancouver Film School, and collectively feel that we are more than prepared to take on a production that we care about deeply, and aim to use as a stepping stone of our film making careers.
