BUILD SIMULATE DEPLOY
You can develop web or mobile apps for drones in your favorite development environment using the open FlytAPIs. The apps can be tested in FlytSim - 3D Simulator before the drone even takes off. FlytSim supports all the FlytAPIs and the simulated drone includes a RGB camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal along with a front-facing RGBD camera. After successful testing in simulator, you can easily deploy the apps on FlytPOD.

HYBRID ARCHITECTURE
FlytPOD has a hybrid architecture with a real time flight controller and a high power processor for advanced functions. The critical flight stack is handled by the real time controller and is decoupled from the user apps enabling fail-safe.

We have been working on the Flyt platform for more than a year and
already have a working product. We have successfully completed a Beta
program with our early customers from 10+ countries. We have received

documentation, forums and videos as well as github repositories of

Do I need to use separate autopilot with FlytPOD?No!
FlytPOD completely replaces your traditional autopilot, and offers a
whole new range of features. Welcome to the age of Flight Computers!
What are the airframes supported by FlytPOD? Can I integrate it with my custom airframe?For
basic flight control, FlytPOD runs fork of PX4 autopilot, which
supports various multirotors, fixed wing, VTOL, flapping wing, etc. You
can also extend it to work with your custom frame.
What are physical specifications of FlytPOD?The physical dimensions are 10 cm x 6 cm x 3 cm and it weighs around 150 gm (without antennas).
What are the internal WiFi specs?2.4 GHz at 20 dBm, with two 5dbi antennas.
Can I use my own antennas?Yes,
the standard SMA connectors can fit a great variety of antennas. We
encourage you to try out new configurations and share the results with
the community.
How do I power FlytPOD?We will provide you with a power module for use on vehicle and a wall adapter for lab use.
Can FlytPOD connect to my WiFi router?Yes, FlytPOD can connect to your WiFi network. It can work in both hotspot and client modes.
How can FlytPOD connect to the Internet?FlytPOD can connect to the Internet by connecting to your WiFi network or 4G dongle (4G dongle is not shipped with FlytPOD).
Will there be updates? How to install them?We
will be releasing software updates periodically. The FlytConsole app
can be used to flash the updates. We are working on making the process
hassle free and we will make the step-by-step procedure available in the
documentation.
Can I run APM or custom PX4 autopilot firmware on FlytPOD?Yes, you can. We will make the required resources available soon.
What are onboard apps? In what languages can I write them?Onboard
apps are scripts that you write using onboard APIs in CPP, Python or
ROS. You can also write onboard web apps using our web framework with
server side code in Python and HTML/CSS/JS for client. You can check out
some examples
here.How do I develop mobile apps using Flyt?You
can build native apps using our Android SDK or write cross-platform mobile apps using web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and tools
like Cordova. The
procedure for both is available in the
documentation portal.
How can I connect multiple FlytPODs to each other and share data?You
can connect them all to single WiFi network. ROS multimaster package
can be used to share ROS services and messages with multiple FlytPODs.
