FOSTER THE PEOPLE TEAMS UP WITH KIND CAMPAIGN TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT BULLYING IN JAPAN
Foster The People have partnered with Kind Campaign to raise awareness about bullying worldwide and, more specifically, about the bullying of teenage girls in Japan which is also leading to an increase in Japanese youth suicides. Nanae Munemasa has been bullied since elementary like many other young girls in Japan, started skipping school and even contemplated taking her own life. However, she has returned to school, started a blog to tell her story and help other girls going through the same thing, and started singing in a pop band with her brother called Nanakato. The goal of this campaign is to help put an end to bullying in Japan and worldwide. The funds raised will be used to fly Nanae to Los Angeles to record a single produced by Mark Foster of Foster The People, as well as sending Kind Campaign to Japan to raise awareness and put and help put an end to bullying.

Other Ways You Can Help:
Even if you can't contribute, you can still pitch in and help put an end to bullying. Say something if you see it and stand up for one another. As the Kind Campaign movement says, "we aren’t asking for everyone to become best friends…that’s simply unrealistic. However, we are suggesting something very simple: to STOP the competition, STOP the cattiness, STOP the hate, and to BE KIND."
