Wilson: I use the battery for tough uphills, wind, and fatigue. I so enjoy the feeling of speed when using the electric motor. It's a thrill I didn't experience on my T-8 unless coming down on hills. Difference is I can get the "need for speed" at any time.

Douglass:There is nothing like a little power assist when you just don't feel like getting out on your manual model. So much fun and great for bombing hills.

I can ride the bike paths here on the Vineyard and I must say, I have no trouble negotiating traffic while in Boston or Cambridge. I'm addicted to its intuitive ride. It turns on a dime and gives you a nickel back! The "wow" factor of passers by is also adoring. The other MAJOR factor is that you do not have to use the "juice" to make it go. You'll get a full body exercise rocking & rolling it. I like to mix it up, using the throttle to augment my body & maintain speed to maximize battery life.  Remember: if the battery quits you can still get home.

Roger: The Tribred Pon-e is handy for 'Major Events' where you have to find parking space BLOCKS (or even miles) away. Just unfold it and cruise (with all your stuff) to the site. It's also great for hitting all the 'hot spots' at Tailgate Parties! When I have multiple stops downtown or at the beach, I bring my electric Trikke along. I park ONCE, and use it to get my chores done in HALF the TIME, while not having to fight the traffic or look for additional parking. Just wish I could use the Trikke 'inside' the stores as well.....Humm, maybe one of those Blue Plackards with the wheelchair.....is the Ticket! Plus: while an E-Bike is a "Pain in the 'tookus'"; the Tribred Pon-e is "Up-Standing" FUN!

FAQs

How fast does it go? For a rider of 175 lbs (80 kgs) top speed will be about 15 mph (24 kph) on the flats.

How far can I go on a charge?  On electric-power alone, range is approximately 11 miles/charge on the 6.6 Ah battery that comes with the Freedom. If you upgrade to the 9Ah battery the range increases to approximately 15 miles. Some choose to get an extra battery as well to go further. Add your own carving propulsion and you could double that and get a killer workout.

Do I have to carve turns to make it go? Nope. Carving turns can make it go farther and faster and propel you without using the motor, but you can just cruise on all electric too.

Is the battery removable? Yep. You just twist the key all the way to the left and pull it straight up off the guide rail.

How long does it take to recharge the battery? A full recharge takes 4 hours from empty.

How do I recharge the battery? It comes with a charger that plugs into the wall outlet and into the battery.

What is the weight limit? We set the weight limit at 200 lbs (91 kgs). It will carry heavier riders, but we caution against heavy riders heading straight up steeper hills or doing jumps as this could damage the motor or the frame.

What is the warranty? Our warranty is one year from receipt of the vehicle for any manufacturing defects.
