About the RHAPSODY Hip-Hop Summer Arts Camp
Since 2002, Progressive Arts Alliance has provided the two-week RHAPSODY Hip-Hop Summer Arts Camp in Cleveland, Ohio. The camp provides a dynamic outlet for students to learn in and through the arts through honing their skills in hip-hop's art forms in music, dance, and visual art.
Our Scholarship Campaign for the 13th annual RHAPSODY Hip-Hop Summer Arts Camp will raise funds to provide scholarships for students in-need to attend the camp. By contributing to the scholarship campaign, supporters will enable students to explore their creativity while building valuable life skills in teamwork, self-esteem, communication skills, and leadership ... all through hip-hop culture!
What We Need & What You Get
- PAA is raising $10,000 to support scholarships to underwrite camp tuition for students with demonstrated financial need. Tuition money helps pay for the cost to provide the camp's activities including the teaching artist fees and supplies.
- All donors who donate $100 or more will receive DJ Rob Swift's "Master Class with DJ Rob Swift" DVD.
- If we do not raise the total funds, we will offer fewer scholarships.
The ImpactYour contribution helps support:
- 80 hours of instruction to students at the camp who learn more about how hip-hop can be a positive form of creative self-expression.
- An opportunity for tomorrow's artists and leaders to learn and grow from today's professional hip-hop artists in a fun but rigorous learning environment.
- Progressive Arts Alliance's non-profit mission of inspiring students to reach their full potential through unique and relevant learning experiences in contemporary arts and 21st century media.
Other Ways You Can Help

- We are always in need of Technics 1200 turntables for the camp's DJ lab. We'd gladly accept an in-kind turntable donation!
