On a trip to Napa in 2010, Joelle realized her white teeth turned a Funkky shade of purple from the red wine she was drinking.

It was so embarrassing!  

Joelle was constantly brushing her teeth in between selfies & wine tastings to get the "Funkk" "OFF" of her teeth. She asked herself... 

Why lug around a bulky toothbrush and tube of toothpaste when you need fresh teeth on-the-go? When she reached into her purse and grabbed her lipstick, she looked at it and wanted something just like it but for her teeth.  Lipsticks refresh our lips on-the-go and are reusable & compact...why not have something like that to refresh our teeth?! FunkkOFF! TeethRefreshers was born!

About Joelle & Sonia...Did you know that these two have been best friends since 7th grade?!?

I've always been an Entrepreneur.  I LOVE to use my wild imagination to creatively find easy solutions to simple problems - and build companies from the ground up!  At 22, I became a Stockbroker which gave me the financial tools and practices that I use in my business ventures today.  I needed to solve a personal problem I had of trying keeping my teeth white and clean on- the-go... and didn't see a product on the market...so I invented and patented FunkkOFF!

From an undergraduate degree in Finance to an MBA focused on Marketing, I have spent years working on businesses, big brands and innovation in Fortune 100 corporations.  I've always been passionate about product development and bringing brands to life. Then I realized I really needed THIS product and wanted to have it with me all the time everyday.  So I decided to put all those years of marketing experience to work to have FunkkOFF! in my purse and yours too! 

Risks & Challenges:

With two businesswomen that have decades of experience, this product is not just a fun idea. It’s been drafted, designed, prototyped and demonstrated in front of competitive corporations and sizable investors. Market research with consumers has validated strong interest in this innovative product. The tooth gel has been formulated in an esteemed factory that is home to major oral care products, and 8 U.S. Patents have been secured. As with any manufacturing, there may be hiccups in the process of getting this product to shelves, but with the many years of research and development put into this revolutionary product and with experienced and proven partners, the only goal left now is finalizing the funds to make mass manufacturing commence.
