We are Galvarino. No frills. No apologies. Swords blazing.

Remember that sharp burn in your lungs the first time you inhaled while your parents weren’t home? Or the cold air blasting your face the first time you rode a motorcycle? Remember how wild and reckless you felt, but also how in the moment and oddly clear?

Galvarino is a hard rock, Americana power trio that puts out honest rock ‘n roll conceived to bring back that same sense of abandon, no matter who you are, no matter what your station in life. Named after a Mapuche warrior who strapped swords to his arms when the Spanish cut off his hands, the band rides straight through the emaciated deserts of indie rock, past the predictable palm trees of corporate pop, and all the way up to the jagged peaks of Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Galvarino is a rugged musical landscape. It will keep slicing away, hacking down layer after layer until it finds its way into your brain.

WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT US?

Because unique music takes time to support itself. It’s easy for a Journey cover band to make money, because a kazillion people already know and like Journey songs. A good cut-and-dried country band might have an easier time making money playing country music venues, because there is already a cohesive demographic that consumes that genre.

But where does Galvarino fit in? To be honest, we don’t know yet. And in order to find that out, a LOT of people need to hear our music a LOT of times. These days, rock is a diffuse genre in the midst of an identity crisis. Our sound is what we hear in our heads – not on the radio – and we are determined to keep putting it out into the world regardless of what’s fashionable. That’s where this album comes in. We work as hard as we possibly can to make our music as good as it can be, so that it might reach ears, which are connected to hearts. For some people, a Galvarino tune might make the world a more vivid place to live. That’s what your hard-earned dollars will be going toward.

• Studio time and mixing for the remaining 7 songs (two are already done!) ~ $2,100

• Artwork and merchandise ~ $1400
