GameGuard

GameGuard is an application that monitor's how long your children play's games on the computer and shut's the games down once the timer has reached zero.

This Application builds on principles of safe environments for children that play videogames and makes the child able to still use applications such as Paint, Word, Spreadsheet software and so on this means that homework is not an issue - Games will not be able to start once the timer reaches 0.

Why is this important?

other software like this closes the computer down until the next day.

this does not!. This allows for your child to still develop skills with the computer, like creative software or homework, which is done more and more on the computer. It's hard for a child to focus, when computergames are in near sight.

this software counts down whenever a game is open, and stops the timer whenever a game is closed, so there is time for breaks and so on.

its important for children to have restrictions especially on computergames, aged restricted material for instance. but also on the time spent playing mindless video games. it can be hard for a parent to keep track of time and to keep an eye on the child whilst making dinner, being in the garden or grocery shopping, with gameguard, this is not a problem!

I aim to create an application, that can manage time playing videogames, manage aged restricted materiel (through esrb ratings) and maybe make parents a little less stressed in their daily habits.

Why indiegogo?

This funding will provide funds for development of this software, the beta is already in full scale testing.

This software will be free in the future, if i meet my goal.

ive spent somewhat 100 hours on development so far and there's atleast 100 more hours to go till final release
