Overview
I am excited about this campaign for my 2019 Sketchbook, which collects some of my favorite pieces of art in a full color 45-page graphic volume. As a self taught artist for 30 years I have had the pleasure of working on many of the properties from the comic and movie industries. This sketchbook will include some of my best work. Now I'm so happy to be making my art available to you.

Hello, welcome to my 2019 Indiegogo Sketchbook campaign.  My name is Gary Shipman, and I have been making art for more than 30 years working on comics, movies and other properties. I'm probably best known for my comic book series Pakkins' Land that was nominated for Eisner, Harvey, and Russ Manning Awards. My work has been published through Disney Publishing, Caliber Press, Image Comics, Alias Comics, Cryptozoic, and Zondervan. I have been exploring different styles of art throughout my adult life, with no formal art training. My wife Rhoda and I have been married for 31 years and have 3  beautiful children.

One of my biggest joys is sharing my work with you. That's right, It's you! You're the biggest part of what I do, my expression in art means nothing without someone to share it with. And your contribution helps me to keep going. So thank you for your interest.

My goal is to provide a quality product for you and I hope that you are as excited about this campaign as I am. I need enough for the printing, distribution, and fees to create this sketchbook. Anything beyond that will help to make it possible for me to focus on creating new story and art for the future issues of Pakkins' Land comic book Phase Two.
