The GDome Mobile takes dome housings to the next level. With the universal design, it caters for smartphones up to 6.5" (including the iPhone+ sized models) as well as phones with multiple lenses like the Samsung S10+ and iPhone X.

Finding the solution for improving our already great optics posed a challenge from the get-go. We finally got this right with adding to our unique mix of ingredients to give us the perfected GDome optic lens. This V1 dome lens has been successfully used on all of our PDS systems to date. With the release of GDome Mobile we took this mix and improved on its makeup. The new V2 lens will go to market with each unit. The new V2 lens will be implemented across our existing range as soon as we start shipping.

Use wide angle lenses, ND filters, CPL filters and more. Filters are an awesome accessory allowing you the freedom to get creative. Adjust the light hitting your camera lens by using a wide range of different lenses and filters. Filters allow you to capture wider apertures for greater depth or adjust shutter speeds for time-based effects. Capture twice the image with wide angle lenses while the image remains crisp & straight with no fisheye distortion.

The intention of the GDome Mobile is to be as user-friendly as possible. With a built-in hand grip support, the GDome Mobile is very easy to use and feels extremely comfortable in hand. We have made it modular so you can easily add extra items to take the standard setup into a professional rig. Start building yours today!
While the GDome Mobile is NOT made for action cameras, we tested it with the GoPro Hero 5 | 6 | 7 Black, Silver and White as well as the DJI Osmo Action and managed to get some awesome shots.
This is not the perfect solution for action cameras and we recommend using our stock action camera PDS GDomes, available from the GDome Online Shop, but the option is there for those who are willing to give it a go.

Our robust glass filled nylon housing is made structurally rigid with hardened steel. Its torsional rigidity allows the housing to maintain its seal as one descends deeper. Our V2 Dome was developed for specifically for the Mobile, with better optics and more scratch resistance, it is a major step up for us.

GDome was founded in 2015 with the aim of creating an affordable dome housing. Our first version of the Dome took to the market by storm, allowing us to constantly improve and add to our product range. At the end of 2018 having launched our Version 3 PDS (Professional Dome System), we decided to take on a new challenge, the smartphone.
We have spent four years developing GDome into a market leading brand. This has enabled us to grow our reputation, market share and product offering, allowing us to bring GDome Mobile to life! We built the GDome Mobile for everyone. We used our passion for water with our photographic expertise and experience to bring you a unique product.

We guarantee all of our products and our reviews stand testament to this. All units are hand assembled, pressure tested and have to pass our quality control measures. We manufacture all of our products in house to ensure the best care is taken right from raw material inspection to final product testing.
The GDome Mobile is a waterproof housing made to be used on the surface of the water. Although we have dived to 30ft plus with the GDome Mobile, this was purely for testing purposes regardless of the fact it did not leak or damage the phones. The use of the touch membrane was not designed with great depths in mind. The diving backdoor which would make the housing rated to depths of 40m is in development and will be offered a discounted price to all Indiegogo backers towards the end of 2019.
The GDome Mobile was designed with the intention of being a surface waterproof housing for depths that are not deeper than 5ms or 15ft.

Having successfully shipped over 6000 GDome Housings we believe we are at a point that we can now seek crowdfunding with a proven track record.
The funds we hope to generate from this campaign will allow us to continue developing our product offering without seeking private funding. With bulk upfront orders, we are able to negotiate lower manufacturing parts and shipping costs due to economies of scale. Risks and Challenges
Our journey over the last few years has allowed us to turn our passion for the outdoors and filming into an established business. Throughout our journey, our focus has been developing great products backed up by a passionate team whose major focus is customer service.
Developing products like this takes time, money and a lot of effort. Being fully self-funded thus far we have managed to develop our molds, packaging, and membrane to a point we are now in a position for final tweaks, testing and printing.
We have been working on GDome mobile for close to 18 months. We have been through multiple prototypes and have already made all the required molds (which has taken over 7 months to complete!). This means that we are months ahead of thoroughly tested GDome Mobile and are ready to start producing the GDome Mobile, we need your help to get the best pricing possible bring the GDome Extended Port to life! Crowdfunding will allow us to get upfront bulk orders, allowing us to negotiate part and shipping prices with our suppliers, thus allowing us to pass this saving on and share it with our GDome family.
Shipping, Customs & Duties
International distribution is something we have learned to overcome with great shipping partners.
International freight does come with its own set of challenges. As a business who has acquired all of the necessary permissions and licensing we abide by all laws and legislation. With this in mind, we cannot mark any item as a 'gift' or as other items. It is illegal to do so.
Please note import duties and taxes are NOT INCLUDED in our reward levels. These charges vary by country and are not in our control.
We will be shipping the GDome Mobile all over the world and it is impossible for us to build the various customs charges into the various reward levels of Indiegogo.

Remember, we are the creators of GDome and GDome Mobile and not international customs, we make no money off local taxes and duties. You can use this tool as estimates when determining additional costs in receiving our products.
