Australia vs North America vs Europe! Help fundraise to send a team from Australia to the Rewind LAN at Esports Arena California!
For the first time, Team Fortress 2 will be featured in the massively popular Rewind Lan based in LA! This Lan will be held at California’s world-class dedicated eSports facility, Esports Arena. After the gripping spectacle that was i58, the Jasmine Tea players have been chomping at the bit to not only get another shot at international glory - but to provide the community with another unforgettable competitive TF2 experience. Fortunately, the best teams from North America and Europe have just confirmed their attendance so we are aiming to make this another world-wide competition by sending the best team in Oceania, Jasmine Tea, to the event. With the experience you helped us garner during i58, we are determined to bring the trophy home and finally break the Australian fourth place curse.
Unfortunately there is considerable cost sending a team of 6 across the world, so we are reluctantly asking you again - the enormously generous community - for your unrivaled support. With your help, we can ensure that another unforgettable contest of strength between the three biggest scenes in the game can once again be made a reality!
Keep up to date with our journey via #JasmineTF2

The Team
The team we’re sending to Rewind LAN has been at the top of the ozfortress competitive scene since October 2014, with the team making their mark in 2016 on the international scene at i58. The team’s roster has remained intact since then, with one exception - Mike (the one from down under) joins the team as our amazing new medic. Mike has proven to be an invaluable addition to the team ever since our former medic Dave, found out he could not make it to LA (sorry Muma!!).
Therefore, the current roster of Jasmine Tea and the roster attending Rewind LAN is:
Medic: Mike
Pocket Soldier: Geoh
Roaming Soldier: Zaka
Demoman: Paulsen
Scout: Madness
Scout: Yui
Nearly all of the players on the current roster have won numerous awards for best in class and MVP over the seasons.

Cost Breakdown
In addition to paying for all necessary living expenses (travel costs, food, etc.), each team member will be chipping in approximately $1250 USD for the trip. Taking this into account, we are hoping to raise the minimum amount required to cover the remainder of the costs for the essential expenses of flights and accommodation. A breakdown of these costs is shown below:
Flights: 2000 AUD*6 = 12000 AUD = 8689.86 USD
Accommodation = 297 USD*8days = 2376 USD
Total cost = 11065.86 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Individual contributions = 1250 USD*6
Total Team Contribution = 7500 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Therefore, 11065.86 - 7500 = 3565.86 USD
Indiegogo fees have an upper limit of ~10%, i.e. approximately 357 USD
Total goal: ~ 4000 USD
This $4000 goal is the minimum amount that would ensure a hassle free attendance at Rewind LAN. If we exceed our target, any extra funds will be used to reimburse the players own investments, or be used to fund prize pools for future TF2 competitions.
Perks Breakdown
$10 - BARK ON STREAM - Make Paulsen your bitch for the low, low price of $10!! For every purchase of this perk, Paulsen will bark on stream, just for you. Don’t worry if he’s not online, a strict tally will be kept to ensure he fulfills your needs.
$15 - ITEM SIGNING - Get one of your Team Fortress 2 items signed by a member of the team! Donor must provide weapon and gift wrap, and can choose which team member.
$50 - VIP SCRIM ACCESS - Claiming this perk provides access to our mumble and game server during the buildup to Rewind LAN. This perk provides a great opportunity to spectate top level Team Fortress 2 with the added benefit of listening in to our communications while we play, and is an excellent tool for developing an understanding of the game.
$100 - ONE HOUR - Claiming the ‘One Hour’ perk provides a donor with an hour of direct in-mumble access to an available member of the team (including Elmo) for any Team Fortress 2 related purpose, whether that be mentoring, demo/stv reviews, mge, or even pubbing.
$100 - TEAM FOCUSED MENTORING - This perk is an adaptation of the ‘One Hour’ to better suit a team looking to improve. A team member (once again, including the one and only, Elmo) is at the disposal of your team for an hour of anything Team Fortress 2 related. There are a number of possible effective uses for this perk, such as reviewing a recent Source TV demo of your team, in depth team mentoring, or spectating and providing pointers during a scrim.
$150 - BARGAIN BUNDLE - This perk entitles the donor to "Item Signing", "VIP Scrim Access" and a choice between either the "One Hour" or "Team Focused Mentoring" perks at a discounted price!
$250 - PAULSEN’S MOUSE - Only used once by the captain of Jasmine Tea to frag people at a local LAN; this good-as-new condition, black Thermaltake Saphira is yours. It will also be signed by all members of Jasmine Tea at the LAN!
$500 - PAULSEN’S PACKAGE - We’ll take a picture of Paulsen dressed as your top dog at the LAN. Dog onesie and any other dog accessories donated at the LAN will be included. He’ll also be holding a personal sign adorned with your choice of words (within the realms of political correctness!).
How else can I help?
Contribute to the prize pool here: https://youstake.com/projects?PID=1845
There are many cool perks to claim, but more importantly, for each unique user who registers and contributes to the campaign, YouStake will contribute and additional $1 to the prize pool, up to a limit of $5000. That means that if we got 5000 unique users to donate $1, we would increase the prize pool by $10,000.
