GoFish Cam is a patent pending wireless, underwater action-adventure camera that sits on your fishing line and captures the real action of the sport in conjunction with our mobile application.
Meant for trolling, cast-and-retrieve, and bottom fishing in both salt and freshwater environments, the GoFish Cam has been designed with a stabilized, waterproof design to allow anglers to record the action down to 150 meters (~500 Feet) underwater without the wobble. In 2014, two brothers came up with an idea for an underwater fishing camera while on a fishing trip. After securing funds from friends and family, and investing more than a year of time, GoFish Cam was born.

The app also lets users leverage and learn from each other's experiences. It provides users with data like what bait or lures to use in specific locations, what works for specific types of fish, where to find them, and when to go fishing!
In 2014, two brothers came up with an idea for an underwater fishing camera while on a fishing trip. The two brothers found Kieran Howlett an avid angler, but also a tech genius! Together, the three partnered with BeKnown, and have invested more than a year of time working hard to bring to market the best underwater fishing camera.

Does the camera record sound?
Yes! The GoFish Cam has a built in microphone to make sure that the entire experience is captured underwater.
Can I record in the dark?
Yes! GoFish Cam has been designed with a green light emitting diode (LED) ring around the camera lens. The lighting gives an extra 1M of visibility.
How does GoFish Cam remain waterproof?
We’ve designed the GoFish Cam to be extra durable and water resistant. It has been tested to work to 150 meters (~500feet!).
What do I do if my line snaps and the camera falls off?
The GoFish Cam has been designed to sit on the fishing line. It sits between your casting line and lure (or leader line). We suggest using a leader line. We recommend using a heavy braided casting line and attaching the camera in between the leader and casting line, so if it snaps, the chance is it'll snap on the leader leaving your camera still attached to the casting line. Also, in the near future, GoFish Cam may be offering a warranty program for GoFish Cam clients. Purchase the warranty policy, and in the case that you lose your camera, get a new camera at a heavy discount. Further details on this will be provided at a later date.
How do I get started?
Upon receiving your GoFish Cam, make sure to read the manual and register your camera on the mobile application. Instructions are easy: Download the app, enter your product key code and record!
Where can I share my videos?
GoFish Cam’s mobile application will allow users to share videos through most major social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. If you notice we’re missing one, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
Can I see my videos on my mobile device?
Absolutely! GoFish Cam has developed a mobile application to work with your Smartphone. It works alongside the camera wirelessly. We encourage users to review, edit, and share footage. Currently, the video cannot be streamed in real-time underwater. That's a feature we're working on.
How to Use the GoFish Cam?
The camera can be used for three different fishing styles; Trolling, Casting, Bottom Fishing.
Trolling & Casting:
Trolling is the most popular style the GoFish Cam is used for. In this style of fishing there exists the most tension, as there is always a drag. The drag keeps the camera extremely steady and will allow exceptional quality footage.
Casting is another popular style the GoFish Cam is used for. In this style of fishing there may be some shaky footage, but we are working on some new features for production to fix that. Currently, heavier lures for casting works better than lighter ones.
Bottom Fishing:
The GoFish Cam can also be used for bottom fishing. In this style of fishing, make sure the weight is attached before the camera as per above. This will help the camera face the bait to capture the right footage.
How Do I Attach The GoFish Cam To My Line?
The GoFish Cam is very easy to attach to a fishing line. There are two ends to the camera. The back end will be attached to the casting line and the front end to your leader line. You can either tie the lines straight to the camera or tie your line to a snap and use that to connect to the camera.
How Do You Stop The Camera From Spinning?
The camera is built with a stabilization fin. The fin works best when there is tension or drag from both ends of the camera. As long as you're trolling, reeling in, or battling a fish you'll find less spinning. The more action, the more stable! We're also working on new features for the production run to ensure that we minimize any spinning (hopefully fully).
How Far Does The WiFi Go?
The WiFi has been tested to 40Ft out of water.
Current technology for WiFi does not allow it to go speak to a mobile devicde under water as the water disrupts the signal. We are working closely with researchers and different institutions to make sure that when WiFi has under water capabilities, the GoFish Cam does too!
How Does The WiFi Work?
The GoFish Cam emits its own WiFi signal. The camera works similar to how your house's WiFi; when you leave the range of your house your phone disconnects, and once your phone comes back into range, it reconnects. When the camera comes back into range of your phone, it picks up on the WiFi signal and reconnects. This allows you to review all the footage on your GoFish Cam via our app on your mobile device.
