Team Douvris is a group of elite Canadian karate kids seeking to raise funds in support of the heavy expenses associated with the preparation for, and travel to the World Karate Championships; October 2014 in Dublin, Ireland.  A total of 26 kids have worked and trained countless hours in qualifying to represent Canada at the event. The average cost per person to attend is approximately $2200.00. Through this online fundraiser we are hoping to raise a portion of the funding needed for all to attend. This team trains over 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year all with the hopes of bringing home the Gold for Canada

Team Douvris is a non-profit, competitive Karate Team that has been formed to develop the karate skills of boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 in the Ottawa area. The team is committed to the improvement of karate skills, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship for boys and girls and offers the opportunity for them to participate in provincial, national and world level competitions.

Team Douvirs relies on the donations of individuals and companies along with athlete participation in fundraising to operate and maintain its programs.

Team Douvris attends between 15-25 tournaments per year in preparation for Provincial Team tryouts. Athletes who qualify at this level then move on to National team tryouts and once qualified here will have a spot on the Canadian National Karate Team and are eligible to compete at a world level.
