Multi-Modal Power, means you've got options
GoSun Chill can be powered by multiple power sources, including: Powerbank, AC Adapter, 12 Volt Cord (car port charger), Solar Table, or Flexible Solar Panels. This way, you can access the most convenient power sources when you need it. To charge the Powerbank, plug in the included AC Adapter into any wall socket (100-250VAC) or use one of our two solar charging options - the Solar Table or Flexible Solar Panel.

Power to make ice and keep everyone charged
Every GoSun Chill comes with a detachable, lithium polymer Powerbank, providing a day's worth of ice. Not a little phone charger, the Powerbank outputs 12 volts at up to 15 amps and can supply the average phone over 10 full charges. Only two pounds (one kilo), it features 3 USB ports and a 200 lumen light.

How long will your Powerbank run?
Use the PowerBank when you're going afar, but the Chill comes with AC/DC compatibility so you have lots of power options. Pull out the solar panels to keep your Powerbank charged while it runs the cooler all day long (or all week long) off-grid.

During a typical summer day (i.e. storing camp food and drinks), the Powerbank will keep everything cool for 14 hours on an 80°F (27°C) day. If you're making ice, the compressor runs full-time, which can drain the Powerbank in 3-5 hours.

It is often easier to power the Chill from the 12 V cigarette port on a Car, Boat or RV. Keep your food cold on the drive to the beach or camping and then switch to the Powerbank to run the Chill around the campfire.

GoSun is also there when you need it
Goods stay fresh and safe much longer in dry, ice-free environments. If you want to plug your Chill into an AC wall socket or 12V car port, your wires and adapters are always aboard the cooler, tucked into the two storage pouches. As an added bonus, the Powerbank detaches from the Chill to give you energy where you need it.

GoSun Chill weighs 28 LBS (12.7kg), fits 1.4 cubic feet (40 Liters) and stands 24" x 16" x 19" inches (60 x 40 x 48 cm). For comparison, a "45 Liter" Yeti Tundra cooler holds just 28 beers and weighs 23 LBS before needing about 20 LBS of ice.

Using solar and energy transfer technology, GoSun Chill uses one third the energy of typical portable fridges. The Chill applies an all-electric brushless DC compressor instead of the more commonly used thermo-electric coolers - which are terribly inefficient.
Our efficient brushless DC compressor draws only 40 watts of power - letting it keep your goods cool without using too much energy. Because it’s not thermoelectric, GoSun is also completely quiet, fully controllable and extremely durable.

Introducing GoSun's Solar Table
The 15lb (7kg) folding Solar Table is designed to recharge your Powerbank in a few hours while providing a table surface and shade for the Chill. You can always use a table and it is no problem to work on top of the tempered glass surface of the solar panel. Shade will keep your cooler much cooler. It's lightweight aluminum frame folds into a portable package that is easy to carry and store.

Risks and Challenges
This is our sixth crowdfunding campaign and there is always some risk (and plenty of challenge :) to building cutting edge technology. Experience tells us to remain open with our backers and provide realistic expectations when getting through production and logistics. Our estimated production timeline for the Chill provides a delivery schedule assuming things go as planned. Any bumps or bruises along the path are typically absorbed by GoSun, so you can sit back and chill.
