“Guarder of lives” is an eccentric comedy, based around the daily life of a motel pool attendant, who one day dreams of  becoming a Beach patrol guard! This character is egotistical and cocky, taking his self-appointed position very seriously. His life is made up of strutting around, caking sunscreen on his nose, and chasing around kids who break the rules. His faithful 14 year old side kick, Rico, is always by his side to help with his other pool sanitation duties. Although he has a cocky exterior, our main character is an innocent dreamer at heart, someone who's mixed up between the sexy-glamorous "bay-watch" image of being a lifeguard, and the serious hard realities of being responsible for other lives. With his newest attempt at the Lifeguard certification exam only a day away, will our hero finally cross over into the promised land of his dreams?

The story serves as a character study, meditating on the cultural impact "Lifeguards" have in the American mythos. The art design takes from the aesthetics of 60s/80s beach Americana to create a neon wasteland of boardwalks, bathing suits, and blue pools. Think of the film’s main inspirations as “Midnight Cowboy” meets “Bottle Rocket”.

For the past two years I’ve been working as an actor on various industry Films and TV. I’m collaborating once again with my good friend Ethan Hogan after a couple years since we made our last film “THE EVADERS” (2013)  and the award winning films “KILLING TIME” (2011) and “THE SCAVENGER” (2010.)

Our goal is to raise $2,300. This would go towards helping cover basic commodities for cast and crew like transportation and craft services. We'll be using mostly our own equipment and anything else we can barrow or get our hands on.  The biggest cost would go towards renting audio equipment as well as contracting out someone to sound engineer. Another cost would go towards production design and costuming, I'm looking for a specific pieces. Whether it be vintage bikinis, or metal patio chairs, I need the budgetary allowance to find the proper art pieces to fit my aesthetic vision. Festival submission fees would also be a big part of the budget. The average festival submission fee is $30-50, if I want to submit to 10 or 20 festivals, the sum of those fees start getting costly. The price however is well worth the exposure the festivals would grant us.

This project will be unlike any other film ever made. Which is why I want to make it, this is a film I want to see, and I'm just too tired of waiting for it! Help us and be apart of this radical journey!
