Indiegogo is introducing the 'Guardian X 2' 'GX2' for short. A comfortable active ware shirt. Made of spandex, polyester, and cotton featuring anti-microbial and moisture whicking technologies. You'll enjoy having fun mixing, function, versatility, and customization in a way we feel no hooded shirt has done before. 

Like many startups and innovations... it all starts with an 'idea' some are fleeting some not so fleeting, you shrug them off whimsically, but then there are the ideas that linger. They grab a hold of you in a way that's consuming. They even haunt your dreams begging for the chance to be made real. The 'GX2' is that idea! This flagship design is the first of many for the brand and company that we are creating with the help of Indiegogo and the community.

Why the hoodie? The history of the hood is a long one dating back to the early 1200's. It gives an aura of mystery and a sense of purpose to its wearer, at the same time providing protection from the elements. This is what makes the hoodie the perfect blend for my design. It's the designs simplicity that makes it appealing to both male and female wearers. 

The idea actually started way back in the 90's without my knowing it. In my little league and high school football days my brother and I we would turn our under shirts into half shirts or sometimes cutting our sleeves off. With the forgiveness from our mom of course. We did this as an adolescent attempt to show off our athletic physique impressing our teammates and the cheerleaders. This highlighted the fruits of all our practice and hard work. Seemingly there was actually a functional component about doing this that we didn't fully understand. We were able to move better our bodies were able stay cooler and frankly it just looked cool. As the years progressed I would see other kids doing the same thing my brother and I did all those years prior. It got me thinking... being that we are visual in nature as human beings. We like to show off our hard work in gyms or out in public. So why not create something that anyone can wear regardless of body type and size that would do just that. Something that motivates and at the same time builds confidence. This was the birth of the GX2 guardian times 2. Two pieces, a long sleeved shirt and a drawstring hood that can be attached and detached at will to suit the wearers’ style or use.

This leaves you with one final question. "How will you wear your guardian"?

This campaign will provide the necessary capital to fund our first production, website design & launch, patent & trademarking which is already filed with the USPTO.gov, Patent/Application # 14169141.

Risks & Challenges

The possible challenges will depend upon sizing and ensuring our customers select the right size.

We have a very good relationship with our factory that we have been working with for over a year now on samples and design. That being said, we can't be naive as there are sometimes risks with shipping and timing for production orders. We will be completely open and available if there are any delays in shipping due to manufacturing delays after project completion.
