Short Summary
Our team is a group of three best friends who just really love campy, comedy, and slasher films. We all became friends when we first entered the Film and Television program at the Orange County School of the Arts. The idea was first thought of when the co-directors, Alex Murphy and Christine Navarro watched the cult classic film Wet Hot American Summer. The entire group came together when our producer, Roisin Sinclair, joined the project. This is an idea we've been so passionate about creating for so long. We're so excited to create an amazing film together!
What We Need
Filmmaking isn't easy. There are so many little details that go into creating a short film. The money we receive will go towards buying food for our cast and crew on set, as the days can get pretty long. Since our film is a period piece, many of the donations will go towards buying period accurate clothes and props. The rest will be used for other miscellaneous things that come up during production.
The Impact
Since we are still in high school, raising funds is never easy. Everyday life struggles keep us in the way of reaching our goal. Your donations would greatly impact the quality of the film and help give a voice to young filmmakers. This is our passion project and something that we have spent months writing, re-writing, scheduling, casting and so many other things. We really want to make this film the absolute best that it can be!
Risks & Challenges
While we are doing our best to be prepared and ready for this film, sometimes life can get in the way. We know that there are many issues that can arise while filming such as cast or crew not being able to make it to the set or a costume piece getting ripped. We're well equipped to troubleshoot these kinds of problems when they arise.
Other Ways You Can Help
While we appreciate the donations, spreading the word about our project can help just as much! No matter how you want to support us we appreciate it.
