H. BEAM PIPER’S LITTLE FUZZY THE GRAPHIC NOVEL is based on Mr. Piper’s cult classic 1962 novel, Little Fuzzy.
Charles Santino (story and script) is best known for his adaptations of Louis L’Amour, Edgar Rice Burroughs (for the web comic site), and his original Conan stories for Marvel. With Walter Brogan, he created Danny and Harry Private Detectives. He edited Olaf Stapledon's Nebula Maker/Four Encounters with a cover and illustrations by Jim Starlin.
Marco Perugini’s was creative director for online and offline projects for brands including: Nokia, D&G, IBM, RAI (Italian national channel), FOX. He's published three books for the magazine "Morgan Lost" for Sergio Bonelli Editore. Other credits include "Samuel Stern" for Bugs Comics a story in "Heavy Metal,"
LITTLE FUZZY THE GRAPHIC NOVEL will be published digitally under Santino’s MHE (Marshall Holt Entertainment) imprint.
Page count will be 80-100 pages.

During the campaign, MHE will reach out to publishers to establish a print partnership, but this campaign is for digital only.
The story? If our kindhearted hero, Jack Holloway, can’t prove that the Fuzzies are intelligent, their entire species will be wiped off the face of their planet, Zarathustra--a planet owned by a mining company.
There’s already been some controversy surrounding this adaptation.
What’s the controversy about?
It’s about three major changes we’re making to the story, changes that have bothered some die-hard fans of the novel:
1) Jack Holloway, portrayed as a male in the novel, will be portrayed as a female in this adaptation. Why? Not for the reasons you might imagine.
2) The Fuzzies will have a lot more "screen time" in the graphic novel then they did in the book. Why? You want to see Fuzzies. We want to get them into as many panels as possible.
3). The Fuzzies will be depicted as sapient very early on in the story. Why? Because it’s obvious that they are. We feel that it’s more interesting to characterize those who oppose these lovable creatures as morally challenged, not stupid.
We hope that everyone—readers who are new to this story, and fans of the novel—will give this freewheeling, fun adaptation a chance.
