Hale Orb is a whole system, beyond the device.

You don't use social media? That's no problem. Just use our mobile app, a desktop browser, or even e-mail to send photos directly to the Hale Orb. These are the simplest ways to share what is already on your smartphone or the PC hard drive. 

You can connect Facebook, Instagram, Google, or Dropbox. It's really easy to setup and it will automatically scan for updates and bring new photos and videos to our Hale Central Cloud. You can just keep using your favorite app as usual, without a need for another app!

No signing up is required if you want to just view the photos and videos with the Orb! Mom can start enjoying the photos without a hassle.

There is an option to only share your photos with a particular hashtag (ie. #family) to Hale Orb. We all love our moms but maybe she doesn't need to see EVERYTHING.

You choose who will be members of your channel, and you choose which photos are shared. Hale Orb is a private place reserved for the family.

There's no need to charge the Orb every night. It can stay on your coffee table, and when it needs to be charged, the Orb will light up to let you know.

When each of your family members has her own Hale Orb, everyone can see the same photos and videos shared within the family!

All the images are stored on your Hale Central Cloud and can be downloaded or deleted.

We plan to support multiple channels with different members. That way you may have separate channels for your parents and your in-laws.

 You will be able to say, "Pictures from the beach last weekend!" to the Orb and display them. The microphone turns off as soon as you are done with it.

Our team includes specialists in user interfaces, server, web design, embedded systems, electrical circuits, product design, mechanical design, and manufacturing and come from places like Stanford, MIT, UCLA, University of Tokyo, Carnegie Mellon, Sony, and Silicon Valley startups.

We made sure to wait until we were sufficiently far along with development (18 months) before asking you to back our project. Hardware manufacturing entails unforeseen road blocks along the way. The good news is that we are a passionate and experienced team working hard to make this a reality and are already working with our manufacturing partners for mass production.
