THE HATE DRUGS MUSIC CAMPAIGN
HATE DRUGS is an Indie rock group from Central California. We love making music. We are in the beginning stages of setting up a successful music career. Any business start-up requires a significant amount of capital. We believe that with your help, we can make a difference in the music world. Thank you for partnering with us!
What We Need
Merchandise- $1000
Our next step is purchasing merchandise. This includes:
CD's
T- Shirts
Stickers
An Ant Farm for John
Etc.
Merchandise will not only be a source of advertisement for us, but will also provide us with a means of supporting ourselves though profits.
Travel- $1500
One of our goals is to start playing around California and the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately, Gas is quite expensive these days, not to mention feeding 5 growing boys.
Equipment- $2000
We currently have access to all the equipment that we need to get by, but some the equipment is borrowed or old. We definitely need to purchase the pieces of gear that we do not own, so that we don't have to rely on the availability of other other peoples stuff. We are also in the process of getting our travel van repaired, so every little bit helps.
Advertisement- $500
Although the internet has provided a great service in terms of free advertising, there are still costs that come with successfully spreading your name and music.
The Struggle is Real
HATE DRUGS is made up of Josiah Caploe (keyboards), Adrian Diaz (drums), John Irwin (bass), Norman Lee (guitars), and David Caploe (vocals/guitars). Four of the above are currently full-time students which makes time for work, in addition to the band, a very hard balance. It is rare that a new band makes money in the beginning, due to the fact that most gigs are played for free, and many venues actually require you to pay to play. We put a lot of time and work into practicing and making our product professional. Our time is valuable and we believe in the music that we make. We also understand that hard work is what it takes to make it to the top. Let's make this happen together.
