love for our images to show the dirt and grit. We adore the Grindhouse
70s grime. We specialize in Horror and Macabre shoots. We shoot all over town, but our main home is in a rundown old house with no Heat or AC and no running water. We know how to stretch our budget of about $25.00 per shoot to make our scenes look like they cost a lot more to create. We want to take things to the next level and begin including local models and actors into our sets. We want to make them more detailed and realistic. Dirt Candy is made up of two ladies who love to take creepy pictures, do all our own FX work, and create our own sets from scratch. We do not like to photoshop or alter our work. We keep it old school and create all our pieces. If we cannot make it, we will not do it.
We are currently planning a large shoot for
www.biogamergirl.com magazine. The theme is Witchcraft and we plan to create our most detailed set and costuming to date, but we need your help. We do not receive any funding for the shoots for the magazine and all our props, makeup, and costumes are funded by us.
We are looking for a few bucks to help us score some new makeup and prop pieces to take this set to the next level. Since we have a large cast and require costuming we need your help. Help us make this set RAD!
The Impact
This shoot is a great opportunity to showcase local West Virginia talent and our love for horror and the macabre. West Virginia is one of the last places that people think about when it comes to creating horror based arts and films. If we do not receive additional funding we cannot take on such a large project. This photo set will feature 10 actors/actresses/models from West Virginia. For most of them it is their modeling debut. We are working with local people who love what we do and really want to be involved in the project. Without the additional funds we are going to struggle in making this a believable set.
What We Need & What You Get
We are hoping to raise $200.00, and anything beyond that will go toward making Dirt Candy even more awesome. This money will go into latex, blood, witchcraft props, and costuming. We will be creating/sewing them ourselves and creating 75% of the props.
If you decide to give us a helping hand we will be offering anyone who donates a 4x6 print from the shoot, a personal hand-written thank you, and a chance to receive an autographed prop from the shoot. Anyone who donates receives our gifts. We cannot offer much, but we definitely appreciate your help and love.
