Our Story
We're Kate and Corey. We've been playing together for 9 months, and in that time have gone from making 300 dollars a month playing on the street to playing some of the most coveted shows in the WNY area (We're even playing the VIP tent for the Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley shows at Darien Lake this Summer!)
Last year we quit our jobs, grabbed our guitars and headed out into the big scary world of full-time musicianship. We love it!
Our goal is to record an album, release it digitally at first, and then release physical CD's to sell at shows.
If you are a subscriber to 'Kate and Corey Backstage' then you're probably already aware that we tried recording once already…and it didn't really work out (we won't get into all the details but it was unexpected and super rotten). ANYWHO, after we discovered that those recordings would never be heard, we immediately started looking for solutions to find a way to get music to you guys (after all, we're full time musicians, so money isn't something we have much of) Crowd-funding/fan-contribution is where we landed.
Before we just dove in, we decided to email our friends, family and subscribers explaining our predicament (as you just read above) and asked them 'would you be willing to participate?' if we decided to do a contributors project. We were overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback and support that we got! Literally, one of the best feelings we ever felt.
So now that we know there are lifesavers like yourself out there, we need your help.
But we're not going to just take a contribution and say "thanks". You get lots of different cool things in exchange for your contribution, and we'll use that money to make beautiful music and increase our fan base, so we all have new friends to hang out with at concerts and parties.

- We're shooting for $1,000. We could use more, but that's a comfortable goal for us.
- All the money we raise will go directly to recording studio costs.
- If there is anything left over after paying for the studio time, the remaining funds will go toward manufacturing and marketing (we've learned how to make dollars stretch pretty far!)
