Short Summary
Since we were founded in 2002, Singchronize has been afforded amazing opportunities that include singing for former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama, running inspiring workshops for high school students, releasing our first full-length album "Hands In!" in 2013, and releasing our first self-titled EP in early 2016!
What We Need & What You Get
We've already started the fundraising process with a few generous donations, bake sales, grilled cheese sales, paid performances, combined with the sales of our previous album and EP. Even with all of these combined efforts, are funds cannot cover all of the expenses that come with recording one single. Our track will be recorded at Silvertone Studios in Ardmore, PA.
- We need to raise $1,200 to record one track that will be released on April 30, 2017, at our semester concert!
- If we do not raise enough funds to cover the cost of recording, we will endeavor upon other forms of fundraising in the Philadelphia area to make up the needed money.
The Impact
When Singchronize recorded our self-titled EP in the fall of 2015, we realized how important it is to commemorate the sound and dynamic of our group in the short time that we spend together. Over the course of time members are in Singchronize, the group becomes a family that supports each other through the highs and lows of this exciting period of our lives.
To put it simply, Singchronize is a group of women who want to make music while promoting a safe-space to be yourself. This track will celebrate the love and support our group has nurtured since 2002!
- The group will never sound the way it does in this moment; we want to commemorate this sound for our members and their families as a tangible product they can revisit in the future!
Our paid performance opportunities are few and far between! So many people expect for us to perform for free, and when we have to pay for transportation to these performances, it takes a toll on our funds. But, we still do them to get our name out and because (of course) we love to sing! Producing this track will also have its challenges, but we'll work hard and continue to be fueled by our passion of sharing music with the Philadelphia area and beyond.
