Hey people!
We are Sarah Lawrence College's improv team Feral Christine! We just won the National College Improv Tournament's New York regionals and are competing in the nationals in Chicago on March 14th! Unfortunately, getting 15 people from New York to Chicago is a pretty costly ordeal so we need your help!
What We Need & What You Get
Pretty much the two major things we are looking for help with is
a. Transportation
and
b. Housing
We've decided to take our own cars and drive to Chicago, so we're looking at a lot of money on gas, an estimated $800. The rest of the money will go towards finding housing for all of us. We've got some really great prizes if you donate, spread the word!
About Us
We are a 15 person improv and sketch comedy group based at Sarah Lawrence College. We perform both on campus and in other venues such as Hampshire College, UMass Amherst, New York University, and the Del Close Marathon in New York City. We also organized the Sarah Lawrence Comedy Festival in 2013 which featured workshops taught by established performers form the Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet Theater. We love playing together and other cool stuff like pizza and Law and Order. We're honored to be performing at the National College Improv Tournament!
About the Tournament
The College Improv Tournament is an annual competition held in Chicago that takes 16 of the best college teams in America and pits them against each other for collegiate improvisational supremacy. We'll be performing in the national competition round on March 14, 2015 at Chicago's Vittum Theater. Feral Christine is so far the only team this year that has never competed previously and has made it to the nationals, so this is a huge opportunity for us and our school.
