In Cancel Me, as in Life, the plans people make are completely inverted, raising the question: how much do intentions matter? Cancel Me satirizes the entertainment industry and the so called “cancel culture” that is less interested in helping people than in condemning others.
In a world where everyone is trying to avoid offending people in order to succeed, Cancel Me succeeds by being offensive and trying to fail.
We are endeavoring a lot with this pilot and truly believe it's going places! But we can't do it without YOU!
Synopsis:
America’s most popular home renovation TV host tries to get her own show cancelled without getting blamed, but not if her biggest fan and newest intern, the idealistic, bright-eyed Missy can help it. The show follows the cynical Kat, a once aspiring theatre actress who took the job hosting “Break it or Buy It” as a temporary gig, only for it to become a hit, ruining her ability to get cast in anything else. She’s helped by Matt, her husband, a lovable nerd who created the show but supports Kat’s desire to see it end, and Chris, a lazy, sleazy producer who hates the show.
But no matter their most heinous efforts to ruin the show, the ratings go through the roof!
