Synopsis
When a devastating crash leads to a last-minute loss in a dangerous motocross race, 18-year-old MIKE DAWSOM struggles to regain his confidence and find himself again in the one sport that has ever made him feel that he is someone. As he heads out to the blazing desert of Roswell, New Mexico, to prepare for his next race, he encounters the hot-headed and highly competitive tomboy KIM, an avid dirt bike rider determined to prove that women can ride as well as men. Getting caught up in Kim’s antics, Mike meets her beautiful older sister JUSTINE, a talented rider searching for love but is completely oblivious to how to find it. When he finds himself inspired by Justine’s passionate drive and genuine heart, Mike starts to feel alive again… and attracts the ire of male riders traveling with Justine, including JACK, Mike’s dangerous rival who is vying for Justine’s affections and stopping at nothing to make sure Mike loses the race again! As Kim and Justine help Mike find himself and take back the win, competition rises out on the desert, on their bikes, and in their hearts while outside forces try to break their bonds in this modern coming-of-age story about love, acceptance, and finding who you are.
