Hideous Mind
A psychological horror
Running time of approximately 30 minutes,
Based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story Tell Tale Heart and taking inspiration from movies such as Asylum from the British film studio Amicus. With a hint of Pycho two thrown in.
We follow Rachel as she finds it difficult to care for an elderly woman (Harriette) Slowly Rachel descends into darkness as she plans to remove the torment from her mind.
Shooting will take place in early 2024 for approximately 14 days and be set in and around the region of Staffordshire in the UK.

Philip Kempson
Philip has been in the entertainment industry for over 35 years and lives in Stoke on Trent in the UK with his wife and children.
Starting as stage crew for the Theatre Royal, Hanley in the 80s where he developed a love for stage and screen. Philip became a projectionist for Warner Bros and M.G.M within London's West End in the early 90s. Philip has directed and produced several short films and also the feature, Beneath Still Water.

Gary-Anthony Rogers
Gary is a freelance Director of Photography and owner of Country Star Productions. Gary has lensed over 16 feature films, many music videos, TV and corporate including Netflix productions. This year alone Gary has shot a feature film starring Jason Flemyng and Bruce Payne called 'The Stoic' and 'Watch Me Sleep' for Midlands filmmaker John Williams. As someone who has experience in setting up other film festivals in the past, he is now turning his attention to making the artistic capital of the country, Stratford On Avon, into a major showcase for the arts.

Jacqui is a freelance Special Effects Makeup Artist, Illustrator, and Prop builder in her jaqdsfx studio and supports artists from Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire as much as she can.
Jacqui is always in-demand so we are honoured that she is onboard.
Her recent work includes all the prosthetic appliances and applications for Shrek the Musical at the Crewe Lyceum Theatre.

Tim Vickerstaff
Tim is an IT Professional by trade, having worked in the Medical and Education sectors.
Tim is a Studio Engineer and founding Director of Leek-based radio station Moorlands Radio.
Founded in 2003 and began full-time broadcasting in 2009. Prior to radio, Tim worked with The New Vic Theatre, Alton Towers and if you go back far enough even Nickelodeon TV and the Paramount Comedy Channel.

Harriette Bailey will be played by the talented Judith Hunt.
Judith Hunt is a passionate actress with a music background.
She is Australian, a graduate of the Western Australian Institute of Technology (B.A. in English) and a former student of the Australian Film & TV School in Sydney.
Her acting roles range from Finding Reggie and Hwitebait in 2022 to
Remember and Teeth in 2023.
Dr Simpson will be played by the talented Susannah May.
Susannah is finished performing in "UPSTART! at the EDINBURGH FRINGE. where it's achieving countless five-star reviews. Susannah Has also been part of the award-winning short film Out Of Time and the comedy shorts Going Viral & Art.
Sam will be played by Antony Webster.
Those who have worked alongside this energetic, intelligent optimist appreciate his remarkable character portrayals, his 'can-do attitude and his steadfast love of tea. Anthony's work includes Whiteblade (2016), The Legend of Mordred (2019) and Running Naked (2020).
