History Bombs is a brand new British history website. Our mission is to create explosive educational content. With your support, we can achieve the funding required to make our first series of epic history videos!

We are a passionate team of young British writers, actors and filmmakers and we make explosive single shot history videos. Our influences include Peter Cook, Monty Python, Horrible Histories and OK Go music videos. We champion a lo-fi, handmade aesthetic and get through a fair amount of duct tape and papier mache!

Our philosophy is to make online videos that are not only entertaining but genuinely educational. We feel strongly that our original video format is a fantastic way to introduce a diverse range of subjects to children of all ages. 

By supporting History Bombs you are not only helping us create unique educational content, you are also supporting our passionate cast and crew and giving them a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents.

Alongside our videos, we are going to work with children through workshops, classroom projects and competitions to teach history alongside the fundamentals of filmmaking.

A ‘History Bomb’ is a single-shot history video. We use homemade music, homemade props and homemade actors to cover entire subjects in under five minutes!

If we reach our target of £6,000, we will have sufficient funds to help make our first series of six epic history videos. One video will be uploaded every two weeks to our Website and YouTube Channel. Series One will be filmed and released from May - July 2014.  The subjects of these videos will not be disclosed prior to release.

The money will be allocated directly to production and will help pay for equipment hire, location fees and all the other expenses that go into making high quality single shot history videos!

Alongside each video, we will create a 'Behind the Scenes' video to give an insight into our video making process.

If we exceed our target of £6,000, the additional funding will be put directly towards producing more videos. We have numerous great video ideas and your funding will help us bring more History Bombs to life!
